A walk-in interview will certainly be held for selection of two posts of Junior Research Fellows under the following CSB funded research projects. The applicants will be selected based on their qualifications, experiences and also performances in the personal interview which will be held on 17.02.2021 (10.00 am onwards). The posts are purely on a short-term basis for the project period only.

Project duration: 3 years (Jan. 2021 – Dec. 2023).
Age limit: 28 years (as on 17.02.2021).

Name of the Post: Junior Research Fellow

Project Code & Title: AIT 05016MI – Integrating genomic and transcriptomics resources for functional insight into the biology of muga silk moth Antheraea assamensis
Funding Agency: Central Silk Board, Ministry of Textiles, Govt. of India
Project duration: 2 years (Jan. 2021 – Dec. 2022).
Age limit: 28 years (as on 17.02.2021).
How to apply:
Interested applicants can attend the Walk-in-interview to be held at the institute on 17.02.2021 (Wednesday) from 10.00 am onwards. The upper age relaxation will certainly be given to SC/ST/OBC/ Women as well as physically challenged candidates based on rules. Applicants have to produce the original documents (mark sheets, certifications, publication etc) at the time of document verification/ interview. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview. Stipend/ Fellowship: Rs. 20,000/- with NET/GATE and Rs. 15,000/- for others plus HRA.
Essential Qualifications: 1st Class M.Sc. in any type of branch of Life Sciences/ Biotechnology/ Agricultural Sciences.
Desirable Qualification/experiences: Applicants having specializations/ experiences on insect Pathology/ Pathology/ Microbiology or working experiences on silkworm pathology will be favoured.
For Post II
Stipend/ Fellowship: Rs. 20,000/- with NET/GATE and Rs. 15,000/- for others plus HRA.
Essential Qualifications: 1st Class M.Sc. in any type of branch of Life Sciences/ Biotechnology/ Agricultural Sciences.
Desirable Qualification/experiences: Candidates having specializations/ experiences on bioinformatics / molecular biology or working experiences generally computational biology and also NGS analysis will certainly be preferred.
