Title of Project: ‘Seasonal diversity and distribution of gelatinous zooplankton and its ecological and economic implications in the marine ecosystem of northern Bay of Bengal’
Age limitation: Upper age limit is 28 years as on 28th February 2021. Nonetheless, the upper age limit can be relaxed up to 5 years when it comes to SC, ST & OBC applicants (as per GoI rules).
Tenure: The position is strictly on a temporary basis for a period of one year and it may be extended for an additional period(s) based on additional project extension and also the satisfactory performance of the candidate.

Fellowship:
- Fellowship of Rs 31,000/- plus HRA (NET/GATE qualified) for the initial two years and also in third year Rs 35,000/- plus HRA will certainly be provided.
- Fellowship of Rs. 20,000/- plus HRA for the (Non NET/GATE qualified) for the initial two years and in 3rd year Rs. 25,000/- plus HRA will be provided.
Essential Qualification: M.Sc in Zoology/ Marine Sciences/ Environmental Science/ Life Sciences with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks from a recognised university.
Desirable Qualification: The research work is strictly marine, so the applicants should be equally competent to do field in the rough marine environment and also lab research. The applicant with working knowledge on Data as well as Statistical analysis, GIS as well as photographic skills will certainly be preferred.
