Sub:- Advertisement for the engagement of Consultant ‘B’ on a contractual basis in M/o Environment, Forest and Climate Change
Applications are invited for one available position of a Consultant ‘B’ in Wetlands
Division of the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change on a contractual basis.
The Terms of Reference of the engagement are at Annexure 1. The general conditions
of engagement, tenure, remuneration, leave, increment and also selection would be per the
guidelines of the Ministry for engagement of consultants.
Name of the Post: Consultant ‘B’
No. of Posts: 01 (one)
Age Limit: The max-age limitation is 65 years as on 31st December 2020.
Essential Qualification:
a. (i) Master’s degree in Science (Botany/Zoology/Environment) or Bachelor’s degree in
Environmental Engineering as the minimal qualification with excellent knowledge
Office and (ii) experience in the field of conservation and also the management of wetlands for a minimum period of 5 years
(OR).
b. Retired Government Employees with (i) Grade pay of Rs. 6600/- and above and also.
knowledge of M.S. Office as well as experience in the field of conservation and also the management of wetlands for a minimal period of 5 years.
Desirable Work Experience: Government Sector experience in handling tasks like.
preparation/reviewing wetland information documents (Management Plans, Ramsar.
Information Sheets, Brief Documents, Health Cards etc.), coordinating with state government officials, NGOs, third party organizations etc.
Remuneration: Payment of a consolidated monthly fee of Rs. 80,000/-

Annexure 1: Terms of Reference for the engagement of Consultant in Wetlands Division, MoEF & CC.
i. Objective:
The consultant shall contribute to the tasks of the Wetlands Division for conservation and also the management of the wetlands of the country.
ii. Outline of the tasks to be carried out:
a) Designating more Ramsar sites in the country and updating the Ramsar Information.
Sheets (RIS) of the existing sites.
b) Operationalising a National Wetland Information and also Database Management System.
c) Implementation of Phase 2 of the Wetlands Rejuvenation Programme across the country.
d) Other technical support for the tasks of the division for wetlands conservation and also management.
iii. Schedule for the conclusion of the tasks:
The schedule for completion of the tasks would be initially for one year which can be.
extended for another 2 years (1 +1). At the end of the 1st year of the consultancy period, the achievement of the outlined tasks would be considered for renewal as well as the tasks may after that be reviewed and revised based on the need of the Division.
iv. Reporting and also Support of MoEF & CC:
The consultant will report to Scientist ‘F’/’ E’ of the Wetlands Division, that will additionally.
guide the consultant in the assigned tasks.
v. Final Outputs:
By the end of the consultancy period, the consultant will need to display considerable achievements in the tasks outlined above and also as revised during the consultancy period.
