CSIR-Institute of Genomics & Integrative Biology (IGIB), desires to engage qualified incumbents on a totally short-term basis in various ongoing projects of the Institute (MLP, CLP, OLP, HCP, CNP, SSP, GAP etc). The positions will be Project Associates as well as Project Scientists based on the OM dated August 13, 2020.

The Way to Apply for IGIB Job:
The applicants will certainly be subjected to shortlisting by our scientists according to the current requirement and also the shortlisted candidates will certainly be interviewed. After the interview, successful candidates will be put in a panel (names listed alphabetically) with a validity period of one year. Upon availability of funds, scientists will certainly take students with appropriate experience as well as qualifications for their project work. Project position as well as remuneration as per the above OM. The period of the post additionally depends on the fund available in a particular project and also its validity.
Reservation and Age relaxation as per CSIR/Govt. of India guidelines.
Tenure might be extendable approximate project duration. The engagement which is on contract basis in respect of all above positions will confer no rights on the candidates, whatsoever, implicitly and also/ or explicitly for their continuation beyond tenure/ absorption/ regularization in CSIR-IGIB. Contract might be terminated at any time by giving one-month notice by either side.
Candidates must be aware that non-fulfilment of this eligibility criterion will Lead to the cancellation of candidature at any given stage.
Those candidates who are still pursuing M.Sc./B.Tech/PhD or any qualification for the above post(s) on the last date of application will not be considered and age will be calculated on the last date of receiving applications.

No application would be entertained with “result awaited” status or after the due date.
List of shortlisted applicants and candidates kept in a panel is going to be put up on CSIR-IGIB site. Panel students are going to be considered for 1 year. If any PI considers that the board candidate fulfils his/her requirement for their project, they’ll be called; otherwise, a new ad is going to be put up.
No TA/DA will be paid to the candidates to attend the interview. The engagement shall be according to guidelines of the CSIR/Funding agency. Candidates will have an option to give a reply in Hindi.

There would be no automatic shifting of project staff from one project to another. On completion of the tenure in one project, if one intends to apply for engagement in another project, he/she will have to go through the procedure of selection by submitting a fresh application under the new project. Consultation under the new project would be made only after submission of ‘No Demand Certificate’ as well as ‘No Dues Certificate’ in the previous project as well as submission of resignation from the previous project.
Note: The shortlisted candidates have to keep ready with them a valid photo ID card, an updated signed C. V. (clearly mentioning Date of Birth, Highest Qualification with percentage, Correspondence Address and Email-ID), Dissertation (if any), PhD thesis (if any) and original certificates/Self-attested photocopies for verification.
For Post I
Stipend (per month): 20,000/- + HRA Increment of 15% for 3 years of experience with a maximum ceiling of 4 such revision i.e. up to 12 years of experience.
Essential Qualification for IGIB Job: B.Sc./3 years Diploma in Engineering & Technology.
Desirable Qualification for IGIB Job: B.Sc. in any stream of life sciences/biological
sciences/Zoology/Biotechnology/Chemistry.
For Post II
Stipend (per month): (i) 31,000/- + HRA to Scholars who are selected through (a) National Eligibility Tests-CSIR-UGC NET consisting of lectureship (Assistant professorship) or GATE or (b) A selection procedure through National level examinations conducted by
Central Government Departments as well as their Agencies and also Institutions.
(ii) 25,000/- + HRA for others who do not fall under (i) above.
Essential Qualification for IGIB Job: Master’s Degree in Natural Sciences or bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology or Medicine from a recognized University or equivalent.
For Post III
Stipend (per month): (i) 35,000/- + HRA to Scholars who are selected through a process as mentioned 1 (i) above. (ii) 28,000/- + HRA for others who do not fall under (i) above.
Essential Qualification for IGIB Job: (i) Master’s Degree in Natural Sciences or bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology or Medicine from a recognized University or equivalent and
(ii) Two years’ experience in Research and Development in Industrial and Academic
Institutions or Science and Technology Organisations and Scientific activities and services
OR
Doctoral Degree in Science / Engineering / Technology/ Pharma/ MD/ MS from a
recognized University or equivalent.
For Post IV
Stipend (per month): Rs. 42,000/- plus HRA
Essential Qualification for IGIB Job: (i) Master’s Degree in Natural Sciences or bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology or Medicine from a recognized University or equivalent
and
(ii) Four years’ experience in Research and Development in Industrial and Academic
Institutions or Science and Technology Organisations and Scientific activities and services
OR
Doctoral Degree in Science / Engineering / Technology/ Pharma/ MD/ MS from a
recognized University or equivalent.
