Age limit (according to date of interview):

i) Upto 28 years In case of JRF/GATE candidates up to thirty-one years (28 + 3 years for activation according to JRF guidelines).
ii) Age relaxation of up to 5 years (up to 33 years) for SC/ST/Differently abled/women applicants.
iii) 3 years (up to 31 years) for OBC (Non-creamy layer).
iv) Applicants are chosen via DBT-BET 2020 will additionally be taken into consideration for.

3. The prescribed essential qualifications are the bare minimum and mere possession of same won’t entitle the candidate to be called for interview. The Institute reserves the right to select a suitable candidate.

Qualifications:

Essential:

(i) Masters (1st class) in Biotechnology, Botany
(ii) Applicant has to be qualified in any one of the following tests:
CSIR/UGC/ICMR including Lectureship (Assistant Professorship) OR GATE National Level exam DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc., IISER etc.

Desirable: (i) Experience in Plant Tissue Culture, Animal Cell Culture, Animal Handling is desirable.
