How to Apply:
The above positions are completely on a short-term basis as well as co-terminus with the project. The fellowship/emolument amount for the above positions are as sanctioned in the project and as per DBT/DST standards. The initial appointment will be for one year or till the tenability of the project whichever is earlier, as well as the same, can be curtailed/ extended on the basis of an assessment of the candidate’s performance and discretion of the Competent Authority. NIPGR reserves the right to choose the candidate
against the above post relying on the qualification and also experience of the applicant. Reservation of posts will be based on Govt. of India standards. The appointment might be ended any time by giving one-month notification by either side. The candidates will have no claim implicit or explicit for consideration against any type of regular position of NIPGR.Qualified applicants might apply by sending a soft copy with e-mail in the given format with a cover letter showing interest together with self- attested soft copies of the mark-sheets, certificates, (from Class X onwards) and proof of research experience/publications. For Post I
Essential Qualification: Applicants having PhD in plant Sciences or equivalent are qualified to apply. Applicants having experience in generating transgenic plants and/or genome editing tools will be preferred. Experience in generating transgenic in rice/chickpea/mustard/ tomato will certainly obtain additional preference. The experience must be supported by documentary evidence.
For Post II
Eligibility: Candidates chosen via National Eligibility Tests as mentioned in the DST Office Memorandum number SR/S9/Z -08/ 2018 dated January 30, 2019. Applicants having M.Sc. degree (with minimum 55% marks) in any kind of stream of Life Sciences or equivalent and minimum of 2 years of post-M.Sc. research experience is eligible to apply. Applicant having experience in generating transgenic plants and/or genome editing tools will be favoured. Experience in generating transgenic in rice/chickpea/mustard/ tomato will certainly obtain extra preference. The experience must be supported by documentary evidence.
