Title of the Project: Nanopore sequencing-based rapid monitoring of Covid-19 nucleic acids in the drains of Pune River
Age: 30 years
* Age limitation for Project Assistant at the level I/II/III/ will be as 28/30/35 years respectively with five years of relaxation for statutory groups and also women.
Duration: The engagement will be originally for six months, which may be extended or curtailed depending upon the period of the tenure of the sponsored project as well as/ or performance or conduct of
the appointee, as the case may be. The engagement will be totally short-term and shall not be CSIR/NCL appointment, temporary or otherwise, as well as shall not entitle the appointee to any right/claim whatsoever, implicit or explicit, for his/her consideration against any type of CSIR/NCL post/fellowship.How to Apply:

Emoluments: Rs 31,000 (No HRA)
Job requirement: Project entails major fieldwork in and around Pune, Water/sediment collection and transportation to the lab, RNA isolation, Nanopore Sequencing and analysis,
Manuscript/Report writing.
Qualifications:
- Essential: M. Sc. Degree (awarded) in Microbiology/Biotechnology/Molecular
Biology/Genomics with minimal 55 % marks or equal CGPA (aggregate). - Desirable experience if any: Previous hands-on experience on molecular biology techniques like RNA/Viral RNA isolations, qPCR is a must. Hands-on experience on next-gen sequencing would be an added advantage, however not mandatory.
