Applications are welcomed from suitable applicants for filling the purely temporary positions in the DBT Multi-Institutional Project entitled “Characterization of Genetic Resources: Mainstreaming rice landraces diversity in varietal development through genome-wide association studies: A model for large-scale utilization of gene bank collections of rice” of Dr Aashish Ranjan, Scientist, NIPGR.

Upper age limit for Project Associate-I: 35 years.
Emoluments: Emoluments as per DST/DBT norms & as sanctioned in the project.
How to Apply:
The above positions are totally on a short-term basis and co-terminus with the project. The fellowship amount for the above positions is as sanctioned in the project. The initial appointment will certainly be for one year or till the tenability of the project whichever is earlier
and also the exact same can be curtailed/extended on the basis of an assessment of the applicant’s performance and also discretion of the Competent Authority. NIPGR reserves the right to select the candidate against the above post relying on the qualification and experience of the applicant. Reservation of posts will be based on Govt. of India standards. The appointment can be ended any time by giving one-month notification by either side. The applicants will certainly have no claim implicit or explicit for consideration against any type of regular position of NIPGR.Qualified applicants can apply by sending a soft copy through email in the given format with a cover letter showing interest. The soft copy of the self- attested copies of the mark-sheets, certifications, and proof of research experience/publications should be attached with the application. Qualifications: Candidates chosen through National Eligibility Tests (for Junior Research Fellow) as mentioned in the DST Office Memorandum number SR/S9/Z -08/ 2018 dated January 30, 2019, or Non- Net qualified applicants (for Project Associate-I) as mentioned in the DST Office Memorandum number SR/S9/Z -05/ 2019 dated August 21, 2019, and also having M.Sc. degree (with minimal 60% marks) in Agriculture/Plant Science/Botany/Life Sciences/Biotechnology or equivalent in the master degree are eligible to apply. Candidate having a solid basic understanding of genetics, plant breeding, molecular biology and also plant physiology is required. Candidate with previous work experience in plant breeding, genomics, molecular biology, as well as or field phenotyping is encouraged to apply.
