Owing to the prevailing COVID-19 crisis, candidates might pick for interview either in-person or through online process. The qualified candidates (appearing in-person in addition to on-line mode) are requested to send their application in the enclosed proforma together with a scanned copy of the original documents through e-mail to [email protected] with a copy to [email protected] by June 10, 2020, or till positions filled up. After screening the applications, the qualified candidates will be informed for further details pertaining to interview by email or over the phone. Original documents of the candidates appearing interview in-person will certainly be verified on the interview date and also for the candidates appearing on-line interview will be verified at a later stage.
How to Apply for IARI Vacancy:
- For the details of qualifications as well as other requirements, please refer to ICAR Office Memorandum (F. No. Edn./ 6/27/2014/ HRD dated: 13/07/2015 & F.No. Agri.Edn./ 6/27/2014/ HRD dated: 09/10/2015). The emolument of the above positions will certainly be as per DST/DBT guidelines.
- Age Limitation for the positions is 35 years max. Age relaxation of 3 years for OBC as well as 5 years’ relaxation for SC/ST and woman candidates based on Government/ ICAR guidelines. Minimum age should be of 18 years as on date of interview.
- The eligible applicants should report for the interview 30 minutes before scheduled time on the date of interview for necessary formalities. Applicants appearing for interview should bring 2 copies of their biodata in prescribed application format given below (Annexure I & II), 2 passport size photographs and also one set of attested photocopies of their certifications/ mark-sheets/ experience proof etc. Candidates need to bring with them original documents at the time of interview for verification.
- Just the candidates having essential qualifications would be entertained for the interview.
- No objection certification from the employer, in case he/ she has employment.
- Candidates whose near/ distant relative( s) is an employee of the ICAR/ IARI, need to declare it and also communicate this office according to format given below. Such a declaration should reach to the undersigned by June 12, 2020.
- Applicants reaching after specified time might not ordinarily be entertained.
- Canvassing in any form would lead to disqualification of the applicant.
- No TA/ DA will be paid for attending the interview.
- The selected candidates shall not claim for any type of regular appointments at this institute as the above positions are simply contractual, non-regular, time-bound as well as are co-terminus with the project.

Essential Qualifications for IARI Vacancy: Postgraduate degree in basic science or in
professional courses (Plant Pathology/ Biotechnology/Genetics/Botany or various other related fields of plant sciences) chosen via a process described with any type of norms given in DST Office Memorandum (O.M) No. SR/S9/Z -08/ 2018 dated 30-01-2019 i.e.
Scholars that are chosen with National Eligibility Test CSIR-UGC-NET including lectureship (Assistant professorship) as well as GATE. The selection process with a nationwide level exam conducted by Central government departments and also their agencies and also institute such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, IIT, IISc, IISER etc.
Desirable Qualification: Desirable experience in pathological as well as biochemical techniques.

Emoluments for IARI Vacancy: Rs. 31,000 plus 24 percent HRA for Project
Assoc-I & 31000/ plus 24 percent HRA for first two years and Rs35000/- plus 24 percent HRA from 3rd year (for JRF)
Essential Qualifications for IARI Vacancy: Postgraduate degree in basic science or post graduate degree in professional courses (Plant Pathology/ Biotechnology/Genetics/ Botany or other related fields of plant sciences) (DST Office Memorandum (O.M) No. SR/S9/Z05/ 2019 dated 21-08-2019).
Desirable Qualification: Desirable experience in pathological as well as molecular techniques.
Upper age limit: 35 years.
