Online applications are invited from eligible applicants for filling up of the following posts in Central Silk Board:
Submission of application(s) online is compulsory and hard copies of application(s), if any, received by the office from the candidates without filing their application(s) online or without enclosing documents in support of their claim with regard to qualification, age, caste, experience etc in the application(s) will be rejected without notice.
How to Apply:
Closing date for submission of online application through central silk board website is 23:59 hrs on 17th July 2020 extended to 23.59 hrs on 24th July 2020.
The last date for submission of hard copy of the application is 20th July 2020 is extended to 27th July 2020.
The last date for receipt for submission of
hard copy of application(s) by post for candidates residing in Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland, Tripura, Sikkim, Ladakh Division of J&K State, Spiti District & Pangi sub-Division of Chamba District of Himachal Pradesh, Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Lakshadweep or abroad isCandidates selected for the posts mentioned below are liable to be posted anywhere in India. Further CSB has units all over the country and there is an all India transfer liability for all of its employees.
Besides pay, the posts carry allowances as per Central Government rates.
Submission of application(s) both online and hard copy (along with all relevant enclosures) is compulsory.
Candidates applying for more than one post should send separate applications for each post. Each application should be submitted in a separate envelope superscribed ‘Application for the post of…”

How to Apply:
- Candidates must apply online through the website www.csb.gov.in. Applications received through any other mode would not be accepted and summarily rejected.
- Candidates must enclose the documents/certificates in support of all the claims made by them in the application like Date of Birth, Experience, Qualification(s), etc. or any other information, separately against each claim.
- Matriculation/10th Standard or equivalent certificate indicating the date of birth, mark sheet of matriculation/10th standard or equivalent issued by Central/State Board indicating Date of Birth in support of the claim of age. Where date of birth is not available in certificate/mark sheets issued by concerned Educational Boards, School leaving certificates indicating Date of Birth, Birth Certificate issued by the concerned State government should be enclosed.
- Degree certificates along with mark sheets as proof of educational qualification claimed. In the absence of degree certificates, provisional certificate along with mark sheets pertaining to all the academic years.
- After submitting the online application, the candidates requested to take out a print out of the finally submitted Online Application (With Application Number).
- The candidates are advised to submit the online application well in advance without waiting for the closing date.
Duly signed application along with all relevant documents may be sent by Speed Post/Registered Post to the Member-Secretary, Central Silk Board, Ministry of Textiles, Government of India, Hosur Road, B.T.M. Qualification:
- Essential: Master’s Degree in Science or Master’s Degree in Agriculture Sciences from a recognized University with four years of experience in R&D and/or Academic Institutions and/or Science & Technology Organizations in Agriculture.
- Desirable: Doctorate Degree in Agricultural Science with one-year experience in Agricultural Sciences.
Specialization wise break up of 3 vacancies in Agriculture.
- Biotechnology (01)
- Silkworm Pathology (01)
- Silkworm Physiology (01)
Note for Biotechnology Specialization: Applicants possessing MSc Biotechnology / PhD in Biomaterials / Material Science and experience in developing Novel processing protocols to convert silk fibres into various forms of biomaterials applications will be preferred.
