BITP 2019 – DBT Biotech Industrial Training Program

Biotech students can apply for a hands on training programme in biotech companies for a period of six months. DBT – Biotech Industrial Training Programme (BITP) 2019-20 official notification is out. Biotech students are encouraged to apply for the training programme announced by DBT India 2019-20 as per the details given below:

Applications are invited from Biotechnology students for hands on training in biotech companies (BITP 2019) for a period of 6 months. The programme supplies a superb opportunity to biotech students to get useful skills and also experience working on projects along with industry experts in addition to an opportunity to the industry to recognize possible candidates for selection of employees. Throughout the training, stipend will be paid to trainees.

B.E./ B.Tech./ M.Sc./ M.Tech./ M.V.Sc./ MBA in General/ Agricultural/ Industrial/ Marine/
Medical/ Pharmaceutical/ Environmental/ Plant/ Food/ Animal Biotechnology, Molecular & Human Genetics, Molecular Biology & Biotechnology, Neuro-Science, Biochemical Engineering & Biotechnology, Bio-process Technology and Bioinformatics from

a recognized Indian university with minimum 50% marks or equivalent grade. Candidates applying for BITP 2019-20 must have completed their qualifying degree in the year 2018 or 2019.

How to Apply:

Mode of Selection for BITP 2019: Candidates will be selected based on computer-based entrance test followed by an interview. Entrance Test would be conducted at multiple centres across the country.

A copy of the system generated acknowledgement and application form submitted online must be sent via speed post courier to Programme Co-ordinator, DBT-BITP, Biotech Consortium India, 5th floor, Anuvrat Bhavan, 210, Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Marg, New Delhi-110002, along with the following documents:

a) A demand draft of Rs. 500/- towards non-refundable and non-transferable application fee as per the details at http://www.bcil.nic.in/bitp2019/index.asp. Please write your application id, name, date of birth and mobile no. on the reverse side of the demand draft.

b) Self-attested copy of final mark-sheet of the qualifying examination indicating the cumulative percentage of marks or equivalent CGPA. For students appearing in the final examination in 2019, filled and signed certificate from Head of the Department on college/university letter head in the format available at www.bcil.nlc.in.

c) Self-attested copy of domicile certificate (North Eastern States students only)

Note: Students with domicile in the North Eastern States may apply as per the above advertisement for BITP 2019. There will not be any separate notification for BITP 2019 for them.

Detailed Instructions:

The application will be filled via online mode only. Online registration will commence on 23rd July 2019 and the last date for submission of the online application form is 22nd August 2019. In order to register/complete the application form, please follow the steps given below:
a. Go to the link http://www.bcil.nic.in/bitp2019/index.asp
b. Click on “Application form for Students (New User)”
c. Create an account by entering new user id, password and re-entering password of your choice.
d. You can view/edit your application form any time in your account by clicking on ‘already
registered users’ before the last date of submission of the application. However, editing should not be done after sending the hardcopy of application and acknowledgement to BCIL.

Before applying Online, candidates should keep ready the following:
a. Scanned Passport size photograph in .JPEG format (maximum size: 25 KB)
b. Scanned signature in .JPEG format (maximum size: 10 KB)
c. Demand draft number, date and bank name

A copy of the system generated acknowledgement and application form submitted online must be sent via speed post/ courier to Programme Co-ordinator, DBT-BITP, Biotech Consortium India Limited, 5th floor, Anuvrat Bhavan, 210, Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Marg, New Delhi-110002, along with the following documents:

a. A demand draft of Rs. 500/- drawn in favour of ‘Biotech Consortium India Limited’, payable at ‘New Delhi’ towards non-refundable and non-transferable application fee. Please write your ‘application id, name, date of birth and mobile number’ on the reverse side of the demand draft.
b. Self-attested copy of final mark-sheet of the qualifying examination indicating the cumulative percentage of marks or equivalent CGPA (converted to percentage). For students appearing in the final examination in 2019, filled and signed certificate from Head of the Department on college/university letterhead in the format available at www.bcil.nic.in/bitp2019/index.asp
c. Self-attested copy of domicile certificate (For North-Eastern States students only)

The last date of accepting the hardcopy of the documents is 27th August 2019. Applications received after the last date will not be entertained.
