Course Name: Master of Science (M.Sc.) In Clinical Research

Two-years “Master of Science in Clinical Research” (M.Sc. Clin Res) is a post-graduate degree that will be awarded by the Homi Bhabha National Institute (HBNI) Deemed University. The course will be conducted at the Tata Memorial Centre and will be accompanied by a mandatory one-year internship at the Tata Memorial Centre and its outreach centres. The course will start on 1st August 2019

Eligibility Criteria:

Graduation with minimum 50% marks in aggregate in any of the following subjects

• B.Sc in Bioscience/Life Sciences (Botany, Zoology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Genetics, Biotechnology)
• B.Sc in Chemistry
• B.Sc in Clinical Nutrition
• Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Science (B.Pharm)
• Graduate in Medicine (Allopathy, Homeopathy, Ayurveda, Unani, Siddha)
• Graduation in Dentistry (BDS)
• Occupational therapy (B.Sc)
• Physiotherapy (B.Sc)
• Nursing (B.Sc)
• Paramedical tech

Preference will be given to candidates with previous training/experience in clinical research

Entrance exam

• Will be conducted in Mumbai.
• Multiple choice type questions with negative marking for incorrect answers.
• Syllabus for your examination includes basic sciences, clinical research methods and overall comprehension
• Only candidates with original admit card together with valid identity proof is going to be permitted to enter the examination hall.
• People who’ll clear/pass the written entrance examination is going to probably be called for interview in the ratio of not exceeding 3 for a single seat for final selection.

Selection criteria:

• Selection will be based on the evaluation of performance in the written test followed by an interview
• Only those candidates who score at least 50 percent marks in the written entrance exam are qualified to be called for interview
• A fixed number of candidates (not exceeding 3 times the number of seats) will be called for the interview from those who have scored 50 percent and over.
• 25% of seats will be reserved for in-house applicants in the Tata Memorial Centre

Application Fee: Online payment of Rupees 2000/- (two thousand only). That is non-refundable. Female applicants and SC/ST candidates are exempted from paying the application fees.

Age limit: 30 Years according to 31.05.2019 (Relaxable for 05 years SC/ST and 03 years for OBC).

Duration: 2-years course + 1-year internship (compulsory )

Fees:

The college tuition fee will be charged from selected candidates at the rate of Rs 30,000 annually to the 2 years of this course. Fees will be deducted on instalment basis from the stipend

Stipend:

• First year: Rs 10000 a month
• Second year: Rs 12000 a month
• Third year (Internship period): Rs 16000 a month

How to Apply:

• Interested applicants fulfilling minimum eligibility standards must complete the application form online according to instructions.
• Candidates are advised to save the completed application and print the document onto a single side of the paper only.
• Online Submission ALONE Won’t be considered.
• The completed Hardcopy of application Ought to Be signed and sent by registered post/speed post to the office of the Director — Academics, TMC, 13th Floor, Homi Bhabha Block, Tata Memorial Centre, Dr. Ernest Borges Marg, Parel, Mumbai — 400 012 on or before 07.06.2019.
• Copies of relevant certificates and documents must be attached.
• The envelope containing the application ought to be marked“APPLICATION FOR M.SC. CLINICAL RESEARCH 2019”.
• Applications sent by Fax, E-Mail, Photocopies in OLD FORMAT or some other form Won’t be entertained.
• Duly completed application form ought to be submitted together with online payment receipt (Payment of Fees using Debit / Credit Card Number) of Rs.2000/- (Rupees two thousand only) that isn’t refundable.
• Female applicants and SC/ST candidates are exempted from paying the application fees
• Incomplete applications will be rejected and no correspondence in this regard will be entertained. Applications received after the final date will be rejected, and no grounds for delay such as postal delay will be entertained.
• The application will be rejected if the candidate offers incorrect information in the application form like date of birth, qualification certificate etc..
• All passport size photos have to be current (less than 6 months old) self — attested, identical, snapped with front profile, showing complete head, face, shoulder and both ears and taken without even wearing any Cap/Hat/Sunglasses. Polaroid photographs aren’t acceptable.

Terms:

• During the course, the pupil will not apply for any post or some other courses / P.G. research / Scholarship or appear for any examination or interview out or if applied before the start of their training, the candidate must give proper information to this association.
• Candidates leaving the course midway Will Need to repay the Whole stipend amount and the course fee Rs. 60,000/- (02 Year)
• All candidates should submit a certification from Allopathy Medical Doctor confirming the Health status (Physical & Mental) of the candidate.
• The decision of the Director — Tata Memorial Centre, shall be binding and final.

Accommodation: Selected applicants from outside Mumbai can be provided hostel accommodation on payment Based on availability

Cafeteria and library facility: Along with actual charges, refundable deposit of Rs 3000/for diet and Rs 1000/- for library Will Need to be compensated to avail of those facilities
