REVA University has been established under the REVA University Act, 2012. The
University is located in Bengaluru on a sprawling green campus, spread over 45
acres of land, built with the state-of-the-art infrastructure creating an environment
conducive to higher learning and research.
MSc Biotechnology Admissions Open
M. Sc. (Biotechnology) at REVA UNIVERSITY has been designed to meet the
human resources needs of existing and futuristic biotech industries, biotech research organizations and academic institutions. The program is designed to produce graduates with higher order critical, analytical, problem-solving and research skills; ability to think rigorously and independently to meet higher level expectations of biotech industries, research organization, and academic institutions. The program also provides sufficient skills and training on entrepreneurship development in Biotechnology. The program deals with courses on cell biology, microbiology, genetic engineering, biochemistry; medical, animal, forensic and environmental biotechnology, biochemical techniques and processes, entrepreneurship and many other related courses.
Program Outcomes (POs)
After undergoing this program, a student will be able to:
- Describe biotech products and processes
- Explain biotech product developmental processes, performance, safety and ethical
issues - Select materials and processes for the development of new biotech products
- Use modern tools and techniques for the design, analysis, and synthesis of new
biotech products - Instrument and Perform physical experiments for testing and evaluation of biotech
products - Operate and monitor the performance of biotech machines and systems
- Conduct research under the supervision
- Choose appropriate online programs for further learning, participate in seminars and conferences
- Manage information, develop technical reports and make presentations
- Lead a team to successfully complete a project and communicate across teams
and set up his/her own enterprise

Eligibility
- B.Sc. graduates with any life science subject securing at least 45%, (40% in case of
candidates belonging to SC/ST) of marks in aggregate of all optional subjects from
any recognized University/ Institution or any other qualification recognized as
equivalent thereto.
Course Duration: 4 Semester (2 years)
