New Weapon Discovered To Kill Cancer – Voice of Biotecnika: Episode 6
Cancer is one of the most dreaded diseases the world over. Thanks to the ongoing efforts of several scientists, many genes responsible for uncontrolled cell growth – the hallmark of cancer – are now known and well-studied. These genes, which increase the propensity towards developing cancer, are called oncogenes. Any molecules that could nullify
the action of oncogenes would ideally be effective in inhibiting the uncontrolled growth of cancer cells and thereby help eliminate the tumor. Today Our Expert Kajol Patel shares her Interaction with the scientists of NCCS Pune who have recently discovered a new weapon in Killing Cancer.
Happy to announce that some novel interesting findings related to cancer, that have never been reported before, resulting from research carried out at NCCS, have now been published in a renowned international scientific journal, PLoS Biology – NCCS, Pune.
This Podcast is a result of her recent Interaction with research Scientists at NCCS, Pune
