Call for Applications for B4 Young Scientist Program 2019

Workshop on Synthetic Biology

January 21-February 2 2019
Venue: IBAB, Bengaluru

This two-week immersion course will introduce the students to some of the most exciting developments in the area of Synthetic Biology and advanced techniques involved in genome engineering and building metabolic pathways through didactic lectures and hands-on sessions.

The students are expected to stay on campus for the duration of the work-
shop. Travel and lodging costs for selected students will be covered. Class size limited to 25 students.

Eligibility:

Advanced undergraduates (at least two years of study) and early graduate students from a science/technology institution of higher education in India are encouraged to apply.

How to Apply:

Please submit:
• One-page current resume/CV.
• One

to two-page statement of interest, in which you describe the rationale for pursuing this course and what you hope to gain from it.
• Most current academic transcript(s) or Marks cards from higher secondary.
• Two letters of recommendation.

Applications will be reviewed by an interdisciplinary panel of faculty at Harvard, IBAB, IISER and other partner institutions in India. The decision of the panel will be final.
