Deal:

The ‘Project-based Personnel Exchange Programme'(PPP) is a bilateral research Promotion programme that’s the end result of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) reasoned in 1998 involving the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and the Department of Science and Technology (DST).

Who would be the financing Associations?

DAAD receives funds for executing the programme through a budget allocation  {Made from the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF). On the other hand, the programme is financed by Government of India through the Department of Science and Technology (DST).

What are the goals of the programme?

The simple goal of the programme is to reinforce the cooperation between German and Indian research teams, that are working collectively on a specific scientific job.  The programme ‘Project-based Personnel Exchange’ envisages, in this relationship, financial aid for operational freedom only.  Particular emphasis is consequently accorded to academic instruction and specialty

of young research workers. Concrete objectives need to be cited in the program (job description) (such as the amount and academic credentials of these investigators to be encouraged ). Research collaborations entered with the intent of initiating significant projects, like the preparation of combined software meant for entry to some other financing business, are highly favored.

Which are the target groups?

Scientists/ researchers, university professors, post-doctoral investigators and doctoral  students.

Who can apply?

University professors, scientists/researchers and post-doctoral investigators from Indian and german universities and people in permanent positions at public financed research institutes are eligible to apply. The programme is available to academics from the areas of agricultural sciences, veterinary medicine, forestry, engineering, earth sciences, mathematics, theoretical computer science, informatics, medicine, life sciences, health sciences, animal sciences, and nutritional supplements, physics, material sciences and chemistry.

What are the requirements For application?

The requirement for application is a tangible and exact scientific study project proposal of top quality, on which professors from both countries collectively, as well as the extent possible complementarily, wish to operate on. It wouldn’t suffice merely to describe scientific issues of a general character which both research teams want to know more about. The basic financing for the project (personnel and material costs on either side ) must be procured by own funds or from third party financing. The study team on every side should include a project leader as well as 2 doctoral students or post-doctoral research workers. The entire amount of participants at the job on either side shouldn’t exceed three from every side. Program shall be considered by DST and DAAD just if a parallel program was submitted concurrently by the German and Indian spouse to DST and DAAD respectively. The project proposal should be clearly explained inthe tangible actions that could be undertaken with the German team as well as people by the Indian spouse. The contents of this proposal has to be common from either side.

What’s the funding period?

A job, if collectively approved, will likely be financed for a maximum period of 2 years. In the event the candidate renders his/her association prior to the expiry of their official validity of this undertaking, its continuity has to be guarded, for example via a written confirmation from the grantee institution. The project capital for the financial year 2019 and 2020, will be sanctioned subject to the state that the funding is available to DAAD and DST throughout the financing ministries

Which are the requirements for re- along with numerous programs?

Re-applications inside the frame of this programme are just potential, once The prior job was officially closed at either side

What’s the deadline Of application?

The deadline of submission of online applications at DAAD Bonn Germany and also at DST New Delhi is 31st July 2018. Applications received after this deadline won’t be entertained whatsoever.
