The National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education & Research (NIPER) is an Institute of National importance established by an Act of Parliament under the aegis of Department of
Pharmaceuticals,Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers, Government of India.
The Institute has openings for the following Teaching positions on contract basis :

Salary : Consolidated salary may be at par with 6thpay commission scales.
All appointments are purely contractual and temporary in nature and same may be renewable depending upon performance and sole discretion of the management. The candidate will have no right to claim for regularization of the post.
The competent authority may relax experience and age for exceptionally meritorious candidates.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE
1. ASSISTANT PROFESSOR:
(i) Biotechnology
Qualification
: Ph. D. with first class or equivalent at the preceding degree
(M.Sc./M.Pharm/M.S.Pharm ) in Biotechnology/Biochemistry/Microbiology with a very good
academic record throughout.
Experience : A minimum of 5 years of Teaching / Research / Industrial post Ph.D experience in Protein chemistry and engineering /Cancer cell signalling /Medicinal plant biotechnology/human genetics purification. Experience gained during or before Ph.D Degree will not be considered
Age : Maximum 45 Years as on date of advertisement
(ii) Medicinal Chemistry
Qualification : Ph. D. with first class or equivalent at the preceding degree
(M.Sc./M.Pharm/M.S.Pharm ) in Medicinal Chemistry/Biochemistry/ Organic Chemistry with a very good academic record throughout.
Experience : A minimum of 5 years of Teaching / Research / Industrial post Ph.Dv in design, synthesis and lead optimization of novel chemical entities to develop potent, selective and stable analogues for the treatment ofcancer and diabetes with experience in docking and modern chromatographic purification techniques.Experience gained during or before Ph.D Degree will not be considered

(iii) Medical Devices
Qualification : Ph. D. with first class or equivalent at the preceding degree in Biomedical
technology/BiomedicalEngineering/Electronics Engineering/Instrumentation engineering/ Material Science and Engineeringwith a very good academic record throughout.
Experience : A minimum of 5 years of Teaching / Research / Industrial postPh.Dexperience
inBioelectronics/Bioinstrumentation/Diagnostics. Experience gained during or before Ph.D Degree will not be considered.

(iv) Pharmaceutical Analysis
Qualification: Ph. D. with first class or equivalent at the preceding degree (M.Sc/M.S Pharm
/M.Pharm) in Pharmaceutical Analysis/ Analytical Chemistry/ Bioanalytical Chemistry with a
verygood academic record throughout.
Experience : A minimum of 5 years of Teaching / Research / Industrial post Ph.D experience in developmentand validation of analytical / bioanalytical methods for various drug substances and products/biological samples, / Metabolite and impurity profiling / degradation and synthesis pathways. Experience gained during or before Ph.D Degree will not be considered . Candidates should be familiar withregulatory guidelines like ICH, FDA, MHRA, WHO, GMP, GLP etc.

(v) Pharmaceutics
Qualification: Ph. D. with first class or equivalent at the preceding degree (M.S Pharm / M.Pharm)in Pharmaceutics/ Pharmaceutical Technology formulations with a very good academic record throughout.
Experience: A minimum of 5 years of Teaching / Research / Industrial post Ph.D experience in Pharmaceutical product development, novel and or targeted drug delivery systems, solid
statecharacterization, analytical and bioanalytical techniques etc. Experience gained during or before Ph.D Degree will not be considered.
Age: Maximum 45 Years as on date of advertisement.
(vi) Pharmacology & Toxicology
Qualification : Ph. D. with first class or equivalent at the preceding degree (M.S Pharm / M.Pharm/ MSc )in Pharmacology & Toxicology with a very good academic record throughout.
Experience : A minimum of 5 years of Teaching / Research / Industrial post Ph.D experience, behavioral and molecular neuroscience to understand the various neurodegenerative disorders, Pharmacological Screening of anti diabetics and cancer therapeutics. Experience gained during or before Ph.D Degree will not be considered.
Age: Maximum 45 Years as on date of advertisement.
(vii) Natural Product
Qualification: Ph. D. with first class or equivalent at the preceding degree (M.S Pharm / M.Pharm)in Natural Product with a very good academic record throughout.
Experience : A minimum of 5 years of Teaching / Research / Industrial post Ph.D experience in Pharmakokinetics studies of natural products, Development and screening of herbal based novel formulations , Isolation and characterisationand herbal drugs development, Herbal medicine for management of Cancer and Diabetes, analytical and bioanalytical techniques etc. Experience gained during or before Ph.D Degree will not be considered.
Age: Maximum 45 Years as on date of advertisement.
