Job description : 

  • Sales Revenues/Budgets : Meet & exceed sales targets and customer base with greater customer focus through focused sales activities. Increasing sales by actively selling to customers, consumers research institutes, Academia , laboratories , hospitals ,molecular pathology labs, forensic labs, agriculture institutes, veterinary customers, food testing labs , Pharma companies, Biopharma customers , Translational research customers, Applied testing customers and diagnostic and Life Science end users. Supporting other specialists and representatives and developing tactical plans to maximize revenues.
  • Sales Activities- To show leadership in front line selling which would differentiate QIAGEN offer, work flow solution that would create value for customers, QIAGEN, Team and Self. Follow all Sales activities with the highest focus, commitment and integrity.
  • Planning/Forecasting: To be accountable for the business planning, forecasting and achievement of objectives, achieving key performance indicators and revenue forecasts.
  • Business/Markets: Drive and initiate development of new business opportunities and references. Increase number of strategic partnerships. Organizing and coordinating in conducting workshops, seminars, medical education programs and exhibitions..
  • Customer focus – Maintain and develop relationships with key customers and references. Expand customer network and develop new relationships. Focus on customer first initiatives which would deliver value through QIAGEN solutions.
  • Information systems – Utilize SFDC for productivity to input customer data and provide information that will increase effectiveness of pre-call planning sales approach, data management, internal communication, customer information, quotation and offer management, call activity progress , time sheet management , opportunity mapping and management and help to monitor sales progress and successful close. This is a mandatory activity.
  • Communication –Organization of meetings/communication channels to ensure effective communication across business units.
  •  Team work- Ensure team work, inter and intra personal skills which would support regional sales growth with all departments and functions within the organization.

Position Requirements

  • Minimum education: Master of Science or equivalent in any branch of Life Sciences.
  • Having a Business Management Degree would be a added qualification
  • Having a proven and successful Sales track record with a reputed organization especially managing QuantiFERON and Women’s health portfolio for more than 5 years would be desired, is not essential.
  • Having experience handing large key accounts, medium accounts and small accounts and proven track record to grow high sales through solution selling is desired.
  • Proven experience in various molecular techniques including PCR, RNA/DNA manipulation and protein expression.
  • Skill to manage and develop relationships with customers with focus to grow customer base is very essential.
  • Proficient in Data management, MS-Office ( Word/Excel & power Point) is essential.
  • Excellent market knowledge in focus area (sales territory, instrumentation business, Life Science market, Diagnostics market, or specialist area).
  • Managing of territory through sales activities and developing delightful customers essential.
  • Willingness to extensive travel more than 70% in the territory and outside is essential.
