ancer Centre is an autonomous institution under Health and Family Welfare Department, Government of Kerala registered under Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860, with an aim to establish a hospital, providing the much-required oncology care to the population of North Kerala. The main objective being establishing a modern Cancer Hospital and Research and Training Centre of international standard in treatment and prevention of cancer.

Applications are invited for the following posts:

Position 1

Name of the post: Lecturer in molecular oncology

Scale of pay – (Rs 15600- 39100, Grade pay: Rs 5,400)

Qualification : M. Sc. in Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Human Genetics or Genetics with NET qualification OR M.Tech in Biotechnology or Medical Nanotechnology

The candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or a similar test accredited by the UGC

Experience : Three years  of laboratory or teaching experience in Molecular Oncology or Cancer research or Molecular Biology or Biotechnology or Human genetics. Candidates with M.Phil or PhD will be considered

Age Limit: Below 40 years


Position 2

Name of the post: Lecturer in Microbiology

Scale of pay – (Rs 15600- 39100, Grade pay: Rs 5,400)

Qualification: MBBS or M.Sc. in Medical Microbiology with NET qualified

The candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or a similar test accredited by the UGC

Experience : Three years in Medical Microbiology

Desirable:

  • Experience in Medical Microbiology Laboratory
  • Candidates with M.Phil /PhD/MD in Medical
  • Microbiology will be considered and preferred.
  • NET qualification is not insisted for candidates with M.B.B.S/MD/PhD.

Age Limit: Below 40 years


Name of the post: Lecturer in Biochemistry

Scale of pay – (Rs 15600- 39100, Grade pay: Rs 5,400)

Qualification: MBBS or M.Sc. in Medical Biochemistry with NET qualified.

The candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or a similar test accredited by the UGC

Experience : Three years in Medical Biochemistry

Desirable:

  • Experience in Clinical Biochemistry Laboratory
  • Candidates with M.Phil/PhD/MD in Medical Biochemistry will be considered.
  • NET not necessary for candidates with M.B.B.S, MD, and PhD.

Age Limit: Below 40 years

Interested candidates may apply in the prescribed format and should submit printed application, with attested certificates copies (for proving age, qualification, experience etc.) along with D.D worth Rs.1000/- (Rupees thousand only) favoring Director, Malabar Cancer Centre, payable at Thalassery. Applications will be available from the website of MCC www.mcc.kerala.gov.in.

The last date of submission of application along with Demand Draft should be forwarded to The Director, Malabar Cancer Centre, Moozhikkara PO, Thalassery, Kerala-670103, on or before 20/10/2016 till 4.30 PM. Application form and details are available in http://www.mcc.kerala.gov.in

Instructions:

  • The applications that are not complete in all respect will not be considered.
  • Applications without required certificates or documents will not be considered and will be
    rejected.
  • Selection will be based on qualification and experience and interview. Claims in respect of
    Qualifications, Experience, etc. should be supported by copies of relevant documents;
    Candidates should produce the originals at the time of interview.
  • No TA/DA will be paid for the Interview/Written test.
  • Communication of interview call letter from MCC, will be through e-mail/Post only.
  • Candidates are advised to visit our website www.mcc.kerala.gov.in regularly for updates/
    notices and announcements.
  • Canvassing in any form will lead to automatic disqualification. Candidates are advised to desist from such unholy practices.
  • Age will be calculated as on 1st January of the year. i.e 01-01-2016.
  • No Objection Certificate from the present employer, if employed in Govt. / Semi Govt. / Autonomous Bodies etc., should be enclosed along with the application.
  • Qualification, experience prescribed by MCC, should be strictly followed and applications
    without any of them will be rejected.
  • Late applications will not be considered after the last date of submission.
  • The Director-MCC will hold the right to reject any application without any information.

Check list(mandatory)

  • Original Demand Draft (Copy will not be accepted)
  • Self attested copies of certificates proving age, qualification, experience etc:- The applications submitted, in the absence of any of the documents mentioned above, will be summarily rejected and no intimation will be sent to the candidates.

Note :

  • A rank list valid for 3 years will be prepared for filling future vacancies belonging to the
    notified categories based on reservation roster.
  • Experience wherever prescribed means experience gained AFTER acquiring the prescribed
    essential qualification. However age and experience may be relaxed in respect of internal
    candidates, if any, by the appointing authority.
  • In addition to pay, allowances at State Govt. rates, as applicable from time to time, will also
    be admissible.
  • Not more than one application should be submitted by any candidate for a single post.
  • Request for change/correction in the Application Form shall not be entertained under any
    circumstances.
  • Candidates are advised to submit their duly filled applications much in advance before the
    closing date to avoid the possibility of late receipt.
  • Late applications will not be considered and MCC will not be responsible for any postal
    delay or loss in transmission/transit.
  • Candidates should retain photocopies of the DD and application for their own records and
    reference.
  • Any attempt to influence the Selection committee of MCC directly or indirectly will
    disqualify the candidate. The decision of MCC will be final in this regard.
  • A candidate’s admission to the Test/Interview is strictly provisional. The mere fact that the call letter has been issued to the candidate does not imply that his/her candidature has been finally cleared by MCC.
  • In case if it is detected at any stage that a candidate does not fulfill the eligibility norms
    and/or that he/she has furnished any incorrect/false information/certificate/documents or has suppressed any material fact(s), his/her candidature will stand cancelled. If any of these shortcomings is/are detected even after appointment, his/her service is liable to be terminated.
  • The decision of MCC will be final in this regard.
  • Any attempt to influence the Selection committee of MCC directly or indirectly will disqualify the candidate. The decision of MCC will be final in this regard.
