Five Ayurvedic Drugs To Be Licenced For Commercialization By NRDC
The National Research Development Corporation (NRDC) has licensed five companies for commercialisation of an anti-diabetes Ayuryedic drug formulation, AYUSH-82, developed by the Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Science (CCRAS), Minister for Science & Technology Harsh Vardhan informed the Lok Sabha in a written reply on Wednesday.
The five companies that have got the licences are Chaturbhuj Pharamceuticals and LA Grande Herbs & Pharma Ltd in Haridwar, Uttarakhand; Altif Life Science, Baddi, Himachal Pradesh; Dabur India and Kudos Lab, Delhi.
“The licensing of technologies to companies is a source of revenue in terms of lumpsum fee and royalty, which is shared between NRDC and CCRAS,” as per the memorandum of association signed with these companies, the Minister said.
