Job Title : Post-Doctoral Fellow

SBU/ Division : Pharma Analytics Team
Candidate Profile : Qualification MS/PhD in Bioinformatics, Biostatistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computational biology or similar, with a strong publication record.
Experience : 2-4 years of experience in computational biology and bioinformatics related areas is a must.
Job Responsibilities :
- Increasing productivity and efficiency of staff
- Keeping up to date with relevant scientific and technical developments
- Presenting results to senior/other research staff
- Ability to lead a team creatively, nurturing team members.
- Good analytical skills combined with ability to recognize and implement plans.
- Writing research papers, reports, reviews and summaries
Skills Essentials :
- Expertise in the use of a high-level programming language such as R, Python or Perl for complex data analysis.
- Programming, web application programming, or relational database experience are pluses.
- Proven expertise in defining and validating computational approaches to generate hypotheses using multivariate, Bayesian and machine learning approaches
- Ability to generate in-silico experimental workflows and in-depth knowledge in proprietary and public biological databases, methods and tools.

Candidate Profile Qualification : B.Tech/M.Tech in Computer Science, Bioinformatics or relevant field
Experience : 3-5+ years of hands-on Oracle DBA experience on UNIX/LINUX environments
Job Responsibilities : A highly skilled Bioinformatician with Oracle Database experience on UNIX environment. The ideal person will be engaged in developing and maintaining the integrated biological and chemical databases.
Skills Essentials :
- Working knowledge of Oracle DBA tools (Grid Control, TOAD, PL/SQL Developer)
- Experience with Data Guard and/or other Oracle replication techniques
- Extensive programming background in SQL, PL/SQL and other scripting languages.
- Data warehouse experience preferred.
- Experience with supporting 24X7 production environments
- Familiarity with Oracle backup and recovery procedures and tools (including 3rd party tools)
- Familiarity with Unix/Linux shell scripting skills; Python script knowledge is a MUST.
- Working knowledge or familiarity with Bioinformatics databases
