Key Responsibilities
- Microbial Handling: Assist in handling, maintaining, and identifying probiotic strains under supervision, ensuring culture purity and proper lab practices as part of your scientist internship experience.
- Experimental Support: Support the team in designing and executing basic experiments related to fermentation and microbiology.
- Fermentation Processes: Assist in lab-scale fermentation activities, including monitoring growth conditions and maintaining records.
- Product Development Support: Contribute to ongoing probiotic and nutraceutical product development projects.
- Analytical Testing: Help perform routine microbiological tests such as CFU counting, media preparation, and basic lab analysis.
- Quality & Compliance: Follow GLP (Good Laboratory Practices) and GMP guidelines in all lab activities.
- Regulatory Exposure: Gain exposure to FSSAI and ISO 22000 standards and assist in basic documentation. For those in the scientist internship program, regulatory experience is a valuable component.
- Data & Documentation: Maintain lab records, experimental data, and assist in preparing reports and SOPs, which are vital tasks for any scientist internship role.
Eligibility:
- M.Sc. (Pursuing/Completed) or Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology only.
