Job Overview
The Scientific Writer is responsible for developing high-quality technical and scientific documentation for the Eurofins DiscoverX product portfolio. The role involves creating detailed content such as user manuals, white papers, and application notes while collaborating closely with cross-functional scientific teams to ensure accuracy and clarity.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Documentation
- Develops and maintains user manuals for products across the portfolio.
- Updates existing documentation to align with templates, product updates, and stakeholder feedback.
- Scientific & Marketing Content
- Authors and edits technical materials including:
- White Papers
- Application Notes
- eBooks
- Creates customer-facing assets such as FAQs, quick guides, datasheets, and website content.
- Authors and edits technical materials including:
- Collaboration & Review
- Works closely with internal scientific and product teams to validate technical accuracy.
- Incorporates stakeholder feedback and ensures consistency across documentation.
Qualifications
- Required
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or related Life Sciences field.
- 2–5 years of experience in technical writing within biotech or pharmaceutical industries.
- Strong understanding of laboratory procedures, especially cell-based assays and protein engineering.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and documentation version control systems.
- Experience with visual tools such as BioRender or Adobe Illustrator.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to simplify complex scientific concepts.
- Ability to manage tight deadlines and coordinate with global teams.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Experience writing for global pharmaceutical or life sciences companies.
- Familiarity with SEO-based content creation for blogs and landing pages.
- Experience collaborating with international teams across time zones (US/Europe).
