Eligibility
Applicants who are interested must meet the following criteria:
- The candidate should be an Indian citizen between 21 and 24 years of age (as of the application deadline).
- Must not be engaged in full-time employment or full-time education.
- Individuals pursuing online or distance education programs are eligible to apply.
- The total annual family income must be ₹8,00,000 or less.
- The applicant should have completed at least one of the following qualifications:
- High School
- Higher Secondary School
- ITI Certificate Program
- Diploma from a Polytechnic Institute
- Undergraduate degree (BA, B.Sc, B.Com, etc.)
Conditions for Ineligibility
The following candidates are not eligible to apply:
- Graduates from premier institutions such as IITs, IIMs, etc.
- Individuals holding professional degrees like CA, MBBS, and similar qualifications
- Candidates currently enrolled in government skill development programs
- Those who have already completed apprenticeships under NATS or NAPS
- Applicants whose annual family income exceeds ₹8,00,000
- Candidates with family members in permanent government jobs
Benefits
- Monthly Stipend: ₹9,000 provided via DBT during the internship period
- Joining Grant: One-time payment of ₹6,000 through DBT upon joining
