Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
Candidates must hold a postgraduate degree in any branch of science with at least 60% marks or equivalent GPA. A 5% relaxation is applicable for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates as per the Government of India norms.
Fellowship / Exam Requirement
Candidates must meet one of the following conditions:
- Hold a valid fellowship such as CSIR-JRF, UGC-JRF, DBT (Category I), ICMR, BINC
- OR Have qualified the JGEEBILS (December 2025) conducted by the National Center for Biological Sciences / Tata Institute of Fundamental Research
Note: A limited number of fellowships may be provided by NCCS to selected JGEEBILS candidates.
Not Eligible
- Candidates qualified only for Lectureship (LS) in CSIR-UGC NET
- DBT Category II candidates
- ICAR or ICMR Project category candidates
Selection Process
Candidates are shortlisted based on NCCS criteria and fellowship/JGEEBILS performance. Selection involves two rounds of online interviews. Final selection is based on overall performance in interviews.
