Project Title: Harnessing Mycorrhizosphere Synergies to Regulate Carbon–Nitrogen Balance and GHG Emissions in Maize–Wheat Cropping Systems.

Available Positions

1. Research Associate-1 (RA-1) – One Position

• Essential Qualification: Ph D. Degree or at least 3 years’ research experience after Master’s degree in Plant Molecular Biology/Biotechnology / Microbiology / Environment Science/ Life Science with 4/5 years of Bachelor’s degree. Candidates having 3 years bachelor’s degree should have NET qualification.
• Desirable: Expertise in molecular techniques and bioinformatics tools.
• Salary: Rs. 58000/- + HRA per month

2. Senior Research Fellow (SRF) – One Position

• Essential Qualification: Master’s degree with at least 2 years of research experience in Molecular Biology/Biotechnology / Microbiology / Biochemistry / Life Sciences with 4/5 years of Bachelor’s degree. Candidates having 3 years bachelor’s degree should have NET  qualification.
• Desirable: Expertise in molecular microbiology techniques and bioinformatics tools.
• Salary: Rs. 42000/- + HRA per month

Terms and Conditions

• The positions are purely temporary and will be filled on a contractual basis initially up to March 31, 2027, and extendable till the termination of the project subject to satisfactory performance.
• Age limit: Maximum age is 35 years for RA position (Age relaxation of five years for SC/ST & women, three years for OBC as per GOI/ICAR rules).
• Only the candidates having essential qualifications would be entertained for the interview.
• Eligible candidates must bring all the original degree certificates and mark sheets (10, 12, UG, PG, Ph.D / NET / GATE / equivalent certificates), proof of experience, and one set of self-attested photocopies from matriculation onwards and an attested copy of a recent passport-size photograph pasted onto the filled-in application form (as per the annexure I & II). Proof of experience and publications also need to be submitted. A No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the current employer is required, if working.
• Concealing of facts or canvassing in any form will disqualify the candidate.
• If any candidate’s near or distant relative is an employee of ICAR/IARI, they must declare the relationship in advance by email ([email protected]) by April 10, 2026.
• All other candidates are required to compulsorily furnish the declaration duly signed in format (Annexure II) and submit on the date of interview.
• Selected candidates will be required to produce all the original documents and medical certificate at the time of joining. The selected candidates shall not claim regular appointment at this institute as the positions are time bound and co-terminus with the project.
• No TA/DA/any other expenses will be paid for attending the interview.
• Candidates reaching after specified timing will not be entertained.
• The institute reserves the right to not select any candidate / scrap any of the positions even after interview.
