Key Responsibilities
- Support malt plant operations (malting to distillation) ensuring quality, safety, and cost targets with proper SOP adherence
- Monitor Fresh Malt Spirit (FMS) quality through sensory checks, chemical analysis, and GC data; maintain process documentation
- Conduct sensory evaluations, maintain records, and support RCA/CAPA and continuous improvement initiatives
- Assist in maturation management including cask inspections, warehouse monitoring, and stock quality control
- Support blending operations, ensure batch consistency, and perform pre- and post-blend quality checks
- Ensure bottling line quality through inspection of packaging materials and real-time monitoring of production parameters
- Perform finished goods quality checks, pre-dispatch inspections, and maintain traceability and compliance documentation
- Use digital systems (MIS, LIMS, QMS) for quality tracking, reporting, and audit readiness
- Support training, GMP/GHP compliance, and team capability building
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams and ensure adherence to ISO standards, excise regulations, and quality protocols
Qualification
Postgraduate in Microbiology/ Bio-chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Food technology/ Alcohol Technology. Preferably with additional qualification of IBD courses on distillation / brewing etc.
Experience
- 2-4 years of experience in the areas of Process in Distillery, Brewery, Ethanol Distillation process etc.
- Experience in working across functions with various stakeholders
- Excellent coaching, influencing and communication skills
Skills Required
- Hands-on experience and in-depth knowledge of quality management systems, developing quality related SOPs and its control
- Experience in handling quality improvement projects
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office package
- Internal auditor for ISO 9001, ISO 22000, etc
