Job Overview
The Associate – Scientific Data Entry supports the R&D team by managing documentation, sample tracking, inventory, and day-to-day laboratory coordination. The role requires high accuracy, strong organizational skills, and adherence to process-driven documentation practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Documentation & Records Management
- Prepares and maintains technical documents such as:
- IPS (In-Process Specifications)
- FPS (Finished Product Specifications)
- RPS (Raw Material Specifications)
- MFC (Manufacturing Formula Cards)
- BMR (Batch Manufacturing Records)
- Develops and manages MSDS and export-related documentation for sample dispatch.
- Creates and updates formula master, product master, and raw material specifications.
- Prepares Certificates of Analysis (COAs) and maintains proper documentation records.
- Prepares and maintains technical documents such as:
- Inventory & Sample Management
- Manages inventory of raw materials and samples, including requirement planning.
- Ensures proper handling, storage, and tracking of materials and samples.
- Oversees finished goods and benchmark sample management.
- Maintains inward records for samples and materials.
- Operational Support
- Prepares end-use declarations and Non-DG documentation for vendors and exports.
- Supports facility coordination and ensures smooth R&D operations.
- Maintains housekeeping, documentation discipline, and workflow efficiency within the laboratory.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Food Technology, Biotechnology, Life Sciences, or a related field.
- 1–2 years of experience in documentation, data entry, laboratory coordination, or R&D support.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of technical documentation and record management.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in data handling.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and basic documentation tools.
- Ability to manage multiple records, samples, and inventory systematically.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
Preferred Skills
- Prior experience in R&D, Quality Assurance (QA), or documentation roles.
- Familiarity with sample handling, specifications, and compliance documentation.
- Organized, process-oriented mindset with the ability to work in a laboratory support environment.
