Job Details:

Qualifications:
- Essential: Master’s degree in Plant Breeding/Genetics/Agril. Botany/Horticulture/Botany from a recognized university with 60% or above marks.
- Desirable: Candidate having experience in working with underutilized crops will be preferred.
The position of YP-II is initially for a period of one year only or till the project is sanctioned, whichever is earlier.
WALK-IN-INTERVIEW:
Eligible candidates are invited to attend walk-in-interview for following purely temporary positions of non-regular nature to be held on 13-04-2026 from 10.00 AM onwards.
Terms and Conditions:
- Candidates are requested to ensure their eligibility like age, qualifications etc. before appearing for the interview.
- Candidates having desirable qualification/experience will be given preference.
- No TA/DA and official accommodation will be provided for appearing in the interview.
- The post is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project, selected candidate have no right to claim for regularization or absorption whatsoever in ICAR/NBPGR.
- Age relaxation will be given to the following categories: SC/ST, Person with Benchmark Disability and Other Backward Classes as per the government rules.
- The decision of Director of the institute will be final and binding in all aspects.
- The Director shall also reserve the right to terminate the contract of job as mentioned above, or even before the completion of the project for which no appeal thereof shall be made.
- Candidates are required to bring the relevant certificates/mark sheets, etc. in original along with an application with full bio-data enclosing photocopies of certificates and mark sheets(self-attested) from matriculation onwards duly attested affixing a passport size photograph on the top.
- The selected candidate will be required to produce a medical certificate at the time of joining. In case of any disputes, it will be resolved in the jurisdiction of Shimla Court only.
