Key Responsibilities
As a Scientific Editor, you will act as a primary gatekeeper for medical and scientific research, ensuring that only high-quality, high-integrity manuscripts proceed to publication.
- Manuscript Evaluation: Perform initial scope checks and evaluate submitted papers across a broad range of medical and STM topics.
- Final Decisions: Interrogate peer reviewers’ comments and author responses to make “final accept” or “reject” decisions based on deep subject-matter expertise.
- Journal Development: Provide expert input for Editorial Board recruitment and suggest potential Special Collection topics or Guest Editors.
- Workflow Optimization: Collaborate with Journal Managers and Senior Editors to optimize publishing processes while maintaining high performance metrics (KPIs).
- Research Integrity: Advocate for transparency, open science, and DEI principles during the manuscript evaluation process.
Qualifications and Professional Requirements
