WALK-IN INTERVIEWS FOR DIFFERENT PROJECT POSITIONS ON EXTRAMURAL PROJECTS
POSITIONS AVAILABLE
1. Project Associate – I
- Number of posts: 01 (One)
- Name of the Project: VAPB at membrane contact sites: ALS-FTD at the crossroads of ER stress, proteostasis, lipid homeostasis, and inflammation.
- Name of the PI: Dr. Gaurav Das
- Essential Qualification & Experience: Master’s Degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences / MVSc or bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology or Medicine from a recognized University or equivalent.
- Desirable Experience: Experience in model system biology (Fly, Worm etc…) or some background in computation, programming, or bioinformatics.
- Project Tenure: Up to 28/02/2029
- Total Monthly Emoluments: Rs. 31,000/- + HRA for Scholars (CSIR-UGC NET/GATE) or Rs. 25,000/- + HRA for others.
- Age limit: Not more than 35 years as on date of Interview.
2. Project Research Scientist – II (Non-Medical)
- Number of posts: 01 (One)
- Name of the Project: Reactivation of clathrin-mediated endocytosis as an effective strategy for Niemann Pick disease enzyme replacement therapy.
- Name of the PI: Dr. Umasankar K. Perunthottathu
- Essential Qualification & Experience: Post Graduate Degree or PhD in Life Sciences with three years post qualification experience.
- Desirable Experience: Skills in genetics, molecular biology, protein biochemistry, tissue culture, gene-editing, and advanced microscopy.
- Project Tenure: Up to 04.02.2027 (extendable for two more years subjected to approval by the funding agency)
- Total Monthly Emoluments: Rs. 67,000/- + HRA
- Age limit: Not more than 40 years as on date of Interview.
3. Project Technical Support – III
- Number of posts: 01 (One)
- Name of the Project: Reactivation of clathrin-mediated endocytosis as an effective strategy for Niemann Pick disease enzyme replacement therapy.
- Name of the PI: Dr. Umasankar K. Perunthottathu
- Essential Qualification & Experience: Three Years Graduate degree in relevant subject/field with three years post qualification experience or PG in relevant subject/field.
- Desirable Experience: Experience in handling mammalian cell culture, PCR, cloning, etc.
- Project Tenure: Up to 04.02.2027 (extendable for two more years subjected to approval by the funding agency)
- Total Monthly Emoluments: Rs. 28,000/- + HRA
- Age limit: Not more than 35 years as on date of Interview.
4. Project Associate – I
- Number of posts: 01 (One)
- Name of the Project: Feathered Bioreactors: Leveraging CRISPR Technology to Produce Human Monoclonal Antibodies in Chimeric Chicken Eggs.
- Name of the PI: Dr. Akanksha Chaturvedi
- Essential Qualification & Experience: Four years Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences or equivalent.
- Desirable Experience: Experience in molecular biology, ELISA, mice handling, etc.
- Project Tenure: Up to 05.08.2028
- Total Monthly Emoluments: Rs. 37,000/- + HRA for Scholars (CSIR-UGC NET/GATE) or Rs. 30,000/- + HRA for others.
- Age limit: Not more than 50 years as on date of Interview.
5. Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
- Number of posts: 01 (One)
- Name of the Project: Understanding the molecular mechanism of biogenesis of lysosome-related organelles using the Tetrahymena thermophila model system.
- Name of the PI: Dr. Santosh Kumar
- Essential Qualification & Experience: Post Graduate Degree in Basic Science or Professional Course through National Eligibility Tests.
- Desirable Experience: Experience with cell culture, protein purification, gene cloning, etc.
- Project Tenure: Up to 31/08/2028
- Total Monthly Emoluments: Rs. 31,000/- + HRA
- Age limit: Not more than 28 years as on date of Interview.
6. Project Technical Support – III
- Number of posts: 01 (One)
- Name of the Project: Repurposing cAMP-PKA pathway modifier drugs for the treatment of Alzheimer’s disease.
- Name of the PI: Dr. Indrajit Sahu
- Essential Qualification & Experience: Three Years Graduate degree in relevant subject/field with three years post qualification experience or PG in relevant subject/field.
- Desirable Experience: Experience in mammalian cell culture, protein biochemistry, and proteomic analysis.
- Project Tenure: Up to 04.02.2027 (extendable for two more years subjected to approval by the funding agency)
- Total Monthly Emoluments: Rs. 28,000/- + HRA
- Age limit: Not more than 35 years as on date of Interview.

- The candidates fulfilling the requirements as per the essential qualifications and appearing for the Walk-In-Interview must report at 09.30 am sharp on the interview day at the address given below. They should register their names in the register, kept at the Security Gate.

- INTERVIEW DATE: 7th April, 2026. CANDIDATES REPORTING AFTER 09.30 AM WILL NOT BE PERMITTED TO ATTEND THE INTERVIEW, WHICH MAY PLEASE BE NOTED. In case the number of candidates appearing for the interview is large, the interviews will continue on 8th April, 2026.
