Qualifications & Experience
- Essential: Four years Bachelor’s Degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences / Master’s Degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences or Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering/Biotechnology or Medicine from a recognized University or equivalent.
- Desirable: Experience in mammalian cell culture, virus assays, protein expression and purification, molecular biology techniques.
Monthly Emoluments
- INR 37,000/- + 9% HRA to Scholars who are selected through (a) National Eligibility Tests – CSIR-UGC NET including Lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE (OR) (b) A selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions.
- INR 30,000/- + 9% HRA for others who do not fall under (i) above.
Age
Not more than 30 years on the date of the interview.
Tenure
The initial offer will be for six months and renewable subject to satisfactory performance. The position is temporary and co-terminus with the project.

General Information
- The appointment is purely temporary and will terminate automatically without any notice or compensation on the termination of the research project.
- The appointed person shall have no claim of appointment/absorption in the Funding Agency or in IISER Tirupati.
- The qualification prescribed should have been obtained from recognized Universities / Institutions.
- No TA/DA will be admissible for appearing for the interview.
- The number of posts indicated may increase or decrease as per the Institute requirement.
- Selected candidates will have to join duty immediately on receipt of the offer.
- No interim enquiries/correspondence/communication of any sort will be entertained on the matter.
- Canvassing in any form and/or bringing any influence, political or otherwise, will be treated as a disqualification for the post applied for.
- Candidates selected for this position can also apply for the regular PhD program of IISER Tirupati, provided they satisfy eligibility criteria.
