Job Details:
- Project Title: “Evaluation and baseline data generation of botanical leads developed by the National Innovation Foundation (NIF) against major pests and diseases of tea plantations, along with CIBRC bio-efficacy data generation, for label extension for tea”

- Project Duration: 2 years only
Position Details:
1. Project Associate-I (Entomology)
Upper Age Limit: 35 years (Age relaxation will be provided as per the DST guidelines).
No of post: One
Essential Qualification: Master’s degree in Life Science with specialization in Entomology/Agricultural Entomology/ Zoology from a recognized university or equivalent
Desirable Qualifications and Experience:

- Research Experience in Tea Entomology or related disciplines.
- Advance knowledge on the application of AI, Machine Learning, Experience of insect collection and laboratory rearing and working in molecular biology, handling advanced statistical software and sophisticated laboratory instruments, writing high-quality independent research papers.
Monthly Fellowship: Rs. 31,000/-+ 8% HRA per month
Job Responsibility:
- Project-related Research work. The candidate will have the responsibility of planning the experimental layout, conducting field trials and laboratory bioassays with respect to the baseline data generation of botanical leads against major arthropod pests of tea plantations along with report preparation, data compilation, statistical analysis and writing of research paper.
2. Project Associate-I (Plant Pathology)
Upper Age Limit: 35 years (Age relaxation will be provided as per the DST guidelines).
No of post: One
Essential Qualification: Master’s degree in Life Science/ Botany/ Agriculture with Plant Pathology or Mycology/ Microbiology from a recognized university or equivalent
Desirable Qualifications and Experience:

- Research Experience in Tea Disease management or related fields.
- Advance knowledge on the application of AI, Machine Learning, experience of disease monitoring, sample collection and working in molecular biology, handling advanced statistical software and sophisticated laboratory instruments, writing high-quality independent research papers.
Monthly Fellowship: Rs. 31,000/-+ 8% HRA per month
Job Responsibility:
- Project-related Research work.
