Research Associate-I/II (One Position Only)
Job Details:
- Name of the Position: Research Associate-I/II (One position only)
- Duration: 06 Months (Six Months)
- Name of the Project: “Genome to Vaccine: Establishing a Immunological Database for India specific therapeutics and prevention” funded by DBT
- Emoluments: Rs. 58,000/- to Rs. 61,000/- per month plus 27% HRA (As per DST OM dated 26.06.2023)
- Project Investigator: Dr. Narendra Kumar
Educational Qualifications
- PhD in Bioinformatics/Computational Biology/Systems Biology Biophysics or any closely related interdisciplinary area involving computation in life sciences.
Desirable:
- Demonstrated experience in scientific software development; Strong programming expertise in Python, Familiarity with Node.JS, HTML5, JavaScript etc; familiarity with Flask, Django etc. Strong command of Linux Sys Admin and server-side operations. Exposure to AI/ML ready pipelines, processing and integration; prior experience with bioinformatics resources, structural biology/immunology databases or genomics platforms.
Job Description: The selected candidate will be responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of a large-scale computational platforms and database in immunology. They will gather sequence and structure data of immunological importance and analyze it. They will develop scientific software modules for data processing, integration, analysis, and visualization; implementation of backend services and APIs using Python; and development of web-based interfaces for database access and user interaction.
