Job Details:
- Position: Project Associate II
- Project Title: Expansion of INSACOG – Wastewater Surveillance of SARS-CoV-2, Emerging Pathogens and Antimicrobial Resistance through Genomics-Based Methods
- No. of Position: 1
- Age limit: 35 yrs
- Consolidated Remuneration [INR] per month:

- 35,000 + 27% HRA with NET / GATE
- 28,000 + 27% HRA without NET / GATE
Essential Qualifications:
- MSc in Life Science / Bioinformatics or related discipline
- 2 years’ experience in research and development in industrial and academic institutions or science and technology organizations and scientific activities and services
Desirable Qualifications:
- Experimental: Experience (minimum 1 year) in molecular biology/ bacteriology and hands-on next generation sequencing
- Bioinformatics: Experience in database handling and web-program mining. Experience in Unix, R, and biostatistics.
Nature of Duty:
- Experimental: Environmental sample collection, nucleic acid extraction, RT-PCR, DD-PCR, isolation of AMR pathogens, Antibiotic susceptibility testing, Antibiotic concentration measurement and genome sequencing.
- Bioinformatics: Analysis of genome sequence data – metagenome, viral genome bacterial genome, report preparation, and data upload.
