Key Responsibilities
The Pharmacist plays a significant role in managing the lifecycle of Investigational Medicinal Products (IMP) and Non-Clinical Supplies (NCS) at the Syngene Clinical Supply Unit (SCSU).
- Strategic Planning: Design protocol-specific pharmacy and secondary labeling plans.
- Logistics & Storage: Handle the receipt, verification, and storage of IMP and NCS according to protocol requirements.
- Labeling Operations: Prepare documentation for and perform labeling/relabeling, including expiry extensions.
- Distribution: Manage the supply and resupply of medicinal products to investigational sites while ensuring required temperature maintenance.
- Shipment & Documentation: Prepare shipment documents and plan distribution to maintain sufficient quantities at clinical sites.
- Inventory Control: Perform comprehensive inventory management and maintain all related documentation during the study.
- Reconciliation & Disposal: Arrange returns or recalls, perform reconciliation from sites back to the SCSU, and witness the destruction of supplies as per the pharmacy plan.
Eligibility & Educational Requirements
Syngene is seeking an experienced professional with deep expertise in the clinical supply chain.
- Educational Foundation: A Master’s Degree in Life Science is mandatory.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Sound understanding of ICH-GCP (International Council for Harmonisation – Good Clinical Practice) and Indian Regulatory guidelines.
- Operational Skills: Proficiency in developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and navigating both internal and external audits.
- Software Proficiency: Well-versed in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for data management and reporting.
- Compliance: Ensure all activities remain in compliance with local regulatory requirements and applicable SOPs.
- Maintenance: Oversight of periodic maintenance and calibration of Syngene Clinical Supply Unit instrumentation.
