1. Internship Scheme
Eligibility Conditions & Duration
Internship opportunities are available for UG/PG/PhD students, who are Indian citizens, enrolled at recognized universities/institutions in India or abroad, in Science/Technology disciplines or who have completed their degree within six months of the application. The internship duration is a minimum period of 45 days. Candidates should have an aggregate of at least 60% or a CGPA of 6.32 on a scale of 10.
2. Student Project Trainee Scheme
Eligibility Conditions & Duration
Opportunities are available for students in offline mode with the educational criteria as follows:
- Engineering (BE/BTech): Should have completed the 6th semester. Minimum duration of 45 days.
- ME/MTech: Should have completed the 1st semester. Minimum duration of 120 days.
- BSc/Diploma: Only final-year students. Minimum duration of 45 days.
- MSc: The student should have completed the 1st semester. Minimum duration of 120 days.
- PhD: Scholars should have completed coursework. Minimum duration of 30 months.
All the students wanting to pursue academic project work in DoS/ISRO shall possess an aggregate of Min. 60% or CGPA 6.32 on a scale of 10.

General Information
- Only Indian nationals are eligible for the Student Internship/Summer Training/Project/Research Work.
- Placement depends on the availability of seats, willingness of IIRS faculty to supervise, educational qualifications, subjects, academic record, and the project’s duration.
- A confirmation letter will be sent via email and will be available online on the IIRS admission portal.
- An NOC from the college and academic documents must be uploaded with the online application.
- Applications are accepted twice a year, with deadlines on 31st October and 31st March. Only online applications will be accepted.

- Assignments are based on the availability of expertise, projects, and facilities.
- No stipend or accommodation is provided.
- A certificate will be given upon satisfactory completion and evaluation.
- Access is granted to unclassified areas only.
- Publishing papers requires clearance from the Centres/Units.
