Job Overview:
The Project Assistant – Microbial and Biogas Research position is a contract-based role within the Biogas Engineering department at Suzuki R&D Center India in Gandhinagar, Gujarat. This position is suitable for candidates with MSc or MTech degrees in biotechnology, microbiology, or related life science disciplines. Selected candidates will assist in fermentation experiments, microbial workflows, analytical testing, and documentation while working alongside experienced researchers in an advanced R&D environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Experimental & Analytical Work
- Assist in fermentation and anaerobic digestion experiments
- Perform nutrient profiling and elemental composition analysis
- Operate instruments such as UV-Vis, AAS, GC, FTIR, CHNS, OES, and flame photometer
Microbial & Laboratory Work
- Support microbial culture preparation and lab workflows
- Follow validated SOPs to maintain quality and procedural accuracy
Documentation & Coordination
- Maintain laboratory records and internal reports
- Coordinate with fermentation chemistry and fertilizer testing teams
Compliance & Safety
- Maintain laboratory safety standards
- Ensure equipment hygiene and readiness for audits
Educational Qualification:
- M.Sc/ M.Tech in Biotechnology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, or Environmental, Agricultural or Industrial Biotechnology or related field.
Work Experience:
- 0-2 years of relevant experience in fermentation or microbial culture.
Skills Required:
- Knowledge of microbiological culturing techniques
- Experience with fermentation processes
- Understanding of anaerobic digestion research
- Analytical instrument handling
