- Project Title: Urban Biodiversity Studies including Development and Assessment of City Biodiversity Index for Major Cities and Urban Areas in Bihar.

Department of Environmental Science and Engineering, IIT(ISM) Dhanbad. - Tenure of Project: The position is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project, initially for a period of one year.
Description
The JRF (Project) needs to collect samples at Nalanda – Bihar Sharif – Rajgir and Pawapuri cluster of Bihar, study biodiversity, environmental and ecosystem services, compile and analyze data, perform GIS mapping, assess the City Biodiversity Index, and write reports.
Qualifications
- Essential Qualification: M.Sc. (Environmental Science/ Microbiology/ Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/ Life Science/ Botany/ Zoology or equivalent) OR M.E/M. Tech. (Environmental Science or equivalent) with first class.
- Desirable Qualification: Preference will be given to candidates with experience in the relevant field and who have cleared the GATE/NET Exam.
Age and Relaxation
The upper age limit is 35 years at the time of application (Age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PWD/Female candidates as per GoI rule).
Fellowship: 37000/- pm
