Positions Available

1. Project Associate-I/II

• Max. Age: 35 years
• Essential Qualification:
  • For Project Associate-I: M.Sc in Botany from a recognised University or equivalent
  • For Project Associate-II: M.Sc in Botany from a recognised University or equivalent and 2 years relevant experience
• Desirable Qualification: Research experience in Plant Taxonomy, Field Collection, DNA Marker development and Genetic Diversity studies
• Monthly Emoluments:
  • For Project Associate-I:
    • Rs.31,000/- + HRA for scholars selected via CSIR NET/ other exams
    • Rs.25,000/- + HRA for others
  • For Project Associate-II:
    • Rs. 35,000/- + HRA for scholars selected via CSIR NET/ other exams
    • Rs. 28,000/- + HRA for others

2. Project Associate-I/II

• Max. Age: 35 years
• Essential Qualification:
  • For Project Associate-I: M.Sc in Botany from a recognised University or equivalent
  • For Project Associate-II: M.Sc in Botany from a recognised University or equivalent and 2 years relevant experience
• Desirable Qualification: Experience in extension activities like Farmers’ Field survey, Medicinal and Aromatic Plants data collection, conducting training programs, etc. in the local language (Tamil) of the project site
• Monthly Emoluments:
  • For Project Associate-I:
    • Rs.31,000/- + HRA for scholars selected via CSIR NET/ other exams
    • Rs.25,000/- + HRA for others
  • For Project Associate-II:
    • Rs. 35,000/- + HRA for scholars selected via CSIR NET/ other exams
    • Rs. 28,000/- + HRA for others

3. Project Associate-I/II (PAT-I/II)

• Max. Age: 35 years
• Essential Qualification:
  • For Project Associate-I: M.Sc. in Biochemistry/ Microbiology/ Biotechnology/ Life Sciences from a recognised University or equivalent
  • For Project Associate-II: M.Sc. in Biochemistry/ Microbiology/ Biotechnology/ Life Sciences from a recognised University or equivalent and 2 years relevant experience
• Desirable Qualification: Working experience in yeast biology/ engineering
• Monthly Emoluments:
  • For Project Associate-I:
    • Rs. 31,000/- + HRA for CSIR-UGC/ICAR/ICMR NET qualified candidates
    • Rs.25,000/- + HRA for others
  • For Project Associate-II:
    • Rs. 35,000/- + HRA for CSIR-UGC selected scholars
    • Rs. 28,000/- + HRA for others

4. Senior Project Associate (SPAT)

• Max Age: 40 years
• Essential Qualification:
  • Doctoral degree in Biological Sciences and 2 years research experience
  • OR M.Sc. in Biochemistry/ Microbiology/ Biotechnology/ Life Sciences and 3 years research experience
• Desirable Qualification: Working experience in yeast biology/ engineering
• Monthly Emoluments: Rs.42,000/- + HRA

Terms & Conditions

• Engagement will be initially for a period of one year, and may be extended or curtailed depending upon the project requirement and fund availability.
• The tenure of project staff shall be co-terminus with the project and subject to performance reviews.
• The position is temporary and will not confer any right on the incumbent for a permanent post at CSIR-CIMAP.
• Upper age limit is relaxable as per Government of India rules.
• Reapplication involves submitting a fresh application after resigning from the previous project.
• Project staff may avail leave as per rules.
• Experience counts from acquiring the minimum educational qualification.
• Final semester and result awaited candidates will not be eligible.
• No interim enquiry or correspondence will be entertained.
