1. Project Associate-I/II
- Max. Age: 35 years
- Essential Qualification:
- For Project Associate-I: M.Sc in Botany from a recognised University or equivalent
- For Project Associate-II: M.Sc in Botany from a recognised University or equivalent and 2 years relevant experience
- Desirable Qualification: Research experience in Plant Taxonomy, Field Collection, DNA Marker development and Genetic Diversity studies
- Monthly Emoluments:
- For Project Associate-I:
- Rs.31,000/- + HRA for scholars selected via CSIR NET/ other exams
- Rs.25,000/- + HRA for others
- For Project Associate-II:
- Rs. 35,000/- + HRA for scholars selected via CSIR NET/ other exams
- Rs. 28,000/- + HRA for others
- For Project Associate-I:
2. Project Associate-I/II
- Max. Age: 35 years
- Essential Qualification:
- For Project Associate-I: M.Sc in Botany from a recognised University or equivalent
- For Project Associate-II: M.Sc in Botany from a recognised University or equivalent and 2 years relevant experience
- Desirable Qualification: Experience in extension activities like Farmers’ Field survey, Medicinal and Aromatic Plants data collection, conducting training programs, etc. in the local language (Tamil) of the project site

- For Project Associate-II: M.Sc. in Biochemistry/ Microbiology/ Biotechnology/ Life Sciences from a recognised University or equivalent and 2 years relevant experience
- Desirable Qualification: Working experience in yeast biology/ engineering

- Essential Qualification:
- Doctoral degree in Biological Sciences and 2 years research experience
- OR M.Sc. in Biochemistry/ Microbiology/ Biotechnology/ Life Sciences and 3 years research experience
- Desirable Qualification: Working experience in yeast biology/ engineering
- Monthly Emoluments: Rs.42,000/- + HRA

Terms & Conditions
- Engagement will be initially for a period of one year, and may be extended or curtailed depending upon the project requirement and fund availability.
- The tenure of project staff shall be co-terminus with the project and subject to performance reviews.
- The position is temporary and will not confer any right on the incumbent for a permanent post at CSIR-CIMAP.
- Upper age limit is relaxable as per Government of India rules.
- Reapplication involves submitting a fresh application after resigning from the previous project.
- Project staff may avail leave as per rules.
- Experience counts from acquiring the minimum educational qualification.
- Final semester and result awaited candidates will not be eligible.
- No interim enquiry or correspondence will be entertained.
