About the Organization
The Federation of Asian Biotech Associations (FABA) is a not-for-profit organization and a global platform that brings together biotechnology companies, startups, researchers, investors, and policymakers to strengthen the biotech innovation ecosystem. Through industry programs, networking initiatives, and startup engagement activities, FABA works to accelerate collaboration and innovation in the life sciences sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Support planning and execution of programs and initiatives, ensuring timely coordination and delivery
- Maintain stakeholder databases, documentation, and track program milestones with progress reporting
- Engage with biotech startups, industry experts, academic institutions, and investors
- Support partnership development and collaboration activities across the ecosystem
- Build and nurture relationships with stakeholders and ecosystem partners
- Assist in organizing conferences, networking events, and startup pitch sessions
- Coordinate speakers, participants, and manage end-to-end event logistics
- Contribute to community building through consistent engagement and outreach initiatives
- Support digital communication via LinkedIn and other platforms
- Draft announcements, newsletters, reports, and contribute ideas to strengthen outreach and visibility
Qualifications
- MBA or Graduate/Postgraduate degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, or a related field
- Strong interest in biotechnology innovation, startups, and ecosystem development
- Prior internship or project experience in biotech, life sciences, or startup environments is a plus – but not required
Skills Required
- Excellent written and spoken English communication
- Strong coordination and organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks
- Comfort with digital tools including Google Workspace, LinkedIn, and project management platforms
- Experience in content writing, event coordination, or digital communication is an advantage
