Job Details:
The Senior Executive – Process Sciences role focuses on monoclonal antibody upstream processing within the Process Sciences group. The selected candidate will execute and plan upstream processing activities including cell culture handling, aseptic operations, and bioreactor-based process development. The role requires experience in media preparation, sterile filtration, automated cell analysis, and optimization of upstream processes in laboratory-scale bioreactors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute upstream processing activities for monoclonal antibody development
- Perform aseptic handling of mammalian cell culture operations
- Operate disposable and glass laboratory bioreactors
- Prepare media, feeds, and supplements for cell culture experiments
- Conduct in-process analysis using automated bioanalyzers and cell counters
- Perform clone, media, and feed screening using mini bioreactors and shake flasks
- Optimize upstream processes using laboratory-scale bioreactors
- Perform data analysis, documentation, and QA compliance activities
Educational Qualification:
- M.Sc / M.Tech/ PhD. in Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/Microbiology or equivalent.
Experience:
- 2 to 6 years of experience developing mAb upstream processes from mammalian cell lines in biopharma/biotech or relevant contract research labs. Preference will be for personnel having prior experience in leading a team in biopharma organizations that focus on mAb upstream processing unit operations.
Skills Required:
- Expertise in cell culture and aseptic laboratory techniques
- Experience with monoclonal antibody upstream processing
- Knowledge of bioreactors and upstream process optimization
- Familiarity with GLP/GMP environments
- Experience with automated bioanalyzers and cell counters
- Data analysis and experimental documentation skills
