Positions & Project Details:
- Position: Senior Research Fellow
- Project titled: “Development of climate resilient brassica by gene editing”,
- PI: Dr. Subhra Chakraborty, Distinguished Scientist, NIPGR.
- Number of Postss: One
- Emoluments: ₹ 42,000/- plus 27% HRA per month as per norms and as sanctioned in the project.
- Educational Qualifications:
- Candidates must have a Master’s Degree in Molecular Biology/ Biochemistry/ Plant Science/ Life Sciences/ Biotechnology or equivalent, or a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Agriculture, or a related field with 60% marks from a recognized university/institution.
- Candidates should have at least two years of post-Master’s research experience in a related area and fulfill the guidelines as per DST-OM number: DST/PCPM/Z-06/2022 dated 26/06/2023.
- Desirable Qualifications:
- Preference will be given to candidates with research experience in the areas of Molecular Biology, Gene Function Analysis, Mass Spectrometry-based Proteomics, Metabolomics, Next Generation Sequencing (NGS), Computational Analysis of Multiomics Data, Crop Genetic Improvement, and Gene-Editing.
Additional Information for Senior Research Fellow Jobs:
- The position is entirely temporary and co-terminus with the project. The initial appointment will be for one year and may be extended or curtailed based on the candidate’s performance and the Competent Authority’s discretion.
- NIPGR holds the right to select the candidate based on qualifications and experience, and reserve the right to relax any qualification(s) if a candidate is deemed suitable by the Selection Committee.

- Candidates must submit a duly filled application form along with self-attested copies of birth, educational, and experience certificates at NIPGR from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on March 06, 2026.
- Candidates arriving after 11:00 a.m. will not be entertained for the interview. Please ensure your eligibility before applying.
- All candidates should bring complete bio-data in the prescribed format, as well as original degree/experience certificates and transcripts for verification.
Walk-in-Interview Details:
- The walk-in interview will be held on March 06, 2026 (Friday) at 11:00 a.m. onwards.
