Job Overview:

The Research Scientist/Senior Research Scientist – Acute Toxicology will plan, perform, and report acute toxicology studies while supporting SOP, protocol, and report preparation. The role includes participation in GLP and AAALAC compliance, literature searches, test item administration, dose formulation preparation, blood collection, and data interpretation. Candidates will assist in maintaining animal house records and work collaboratively with study directors and technical coordinators to ensure high-quality, regulatory-compliant preclinical research.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Planning and performing acute toxicology studies.
  • Assisting in SOP, protocol, and report preparation.
  • Maintaining compliance with GLP and AAALAC standards.
  • Conducting literature searches to support research.
  • Test item administration, dose formulation, and blood collection.
  • Assisting in data compilation, verification, and interpretation.
  • Participating in GLP inspections and regulatory compliance activities.
  • Coordinating with study directors and technical staff for smooth study execution.
  • Archiving study-related materials and documentation.

Educational Requirements:

  • M.Sc. in Zoology or Biosciences.
  • 2–8 years of experience in preclinical toxicology or related research.

Skills Required:

  • Understanding of pharmaceutical and agrochemical R&D processes.
  • Knowledge of GLP compliance, AAALAC standards, and regulatory toxicology.
  • Proficient in data collection, compilation, and reporting.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a preclinical CRO environment.
