The Institute of Medical Sciences (IMS), BHU, houses advanced laboratories and conducts high-impact research in microbiology and infectious diseases. This BHU Recruitment is under an extramural project funded by Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) through PM-ABHIM, focusing on fungal disease diagnostics in Eastern Uttar Pradesh.

1. Project Research Scientist-I (NM) – 01 Position (UR)
- Essential Qualification: Post Graduate Degree, including the integrated PG degrees. PhD in microbiology will be given preference.
- Desirable Qualification: PhD in Medical Microbiology, MSc in Microbiology. Microbiology lab experience preferably in area of Mycology.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee fungal conventional and molecular diagnostics
- Specimen handling and fungal culture
- Molecular testing & antifungal susceptibility testing
- Field supervision in villages of Eastern Uttar Pradesh
- Data analysis and training coordination
- Remuneration: Rs. 56000 + 20% HRA/month
- Age Limit: 35 years (Age relaxation will be as per Govt. rules)
- Tenure: 11 Months (extendable, till project continues as per performance).
2. Project Technical Support-I – 01 Position (UR)
- Qualification: Graduate degree + 2 years experience
- Desirable: MSc Microbiology with Mycology experience
- Key Responsibilities:
- Lab testing and specimen handling
- Fungal culture & slide preparation
- Molecular diagnostics
- Data entry and sample tracking
- Salary: ₹20,000 + 20% HRA/month
- Tenure: 11 Months
- Age Limit: 30 Years
3. Project Technical Support-II (Field Staff) – 02 Positions (UR)
- Qualification: Graduate degree + 2 years experience
- Desirable: Field experience in microbiology
- Key Responsibilities:
- Community outreach & field data collection
- Coordination with ASHA workers
- Sample transport follow-up
- Field-based specimen handling
- Salary: ₹20,000 + 20% HRA/month
- Tenure: 11 Months
- Age Limit: 28 Years
