Post Details:

Project Technical Support-III

  • Project Title: Unraveling fibrosis-dependent circular RNA and proteomic perturbations in pulmonary disease
  • PI: Dr. Samrat Chatterjee
  • Number of posts: One post
  • Monthly consolidated emoluments: Rs. 28,000/- plus HRA
  • Age Limit: 35 years
  • Date of walk-in interview: 19th February 2026

Educational Qualification and Experience:

  • M.Sc. / M.Tech. in any branch of Life Sciences from a recognised university.
    OR
  • B.Sc. / B.Tech. in any branch of Life Sciences from a recognised university with three (3) years of post-qualification experience.
  • Desirable:
    • Experience in cell lines culture and maintenance
    • Experience in working with mice models
    • Experience with Molecular Techniques like RNA isolation, RT-PCR, Western Blotting, ELISA, etc.
    • Proficient in working with computational software including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint etc.
    • Good Communications and writing skills.

Job Description/Skills Required:

  • In-vitro and in-vivo modelling of lung fibrosis
  • Blood collection from mouse and perform biochemical investigations like ELISA etc.
  • Western blotting and other molecular techniques including RT-PCR, transfection studies, gene overexpression or knockdown studies in human cell lines
  • Maintenance and culture of human cell lines
  • Sample preparation for Proteomics studies and related data analysis
  • Data compilation, presentation, and report writing.

Project Research Scientist-I

  • Project Title: Innovative drug repositioning for Chandipura virus: A dual-action approach for viral inhibition and neuroinflammation reduction
  • PI: Dr. Tanvi Agrawal
  • Number of posts: One post
  • Monthly consolidated emoluments: Rs. 56,000/- plus HRA
  • Age Limit: 35 years
  • Date of walk-in interview: 20th February 2026

Educational Qualification and Experience:

  • Post-Graduation in any branch of Life Sciences from a recognised university.
  • The candidate should have one first-author publication published in a PubMed-indexed journal.
  • Desirable: Experience with handling live viruses, virological techniques, mammalian cell culture, molecular biology assays, and animal handling.

Job Description/Skills Required:

  • Perform assays to test antiviral activity, cytotoxicity, and the mechanism of action.
  • Data analysis and interpretation.
  • Present results in internal meetings and scientific conferences.
  • Preference for experience in molecular biology, in vitro and in vivo drug testing, handling live viruses, and virological and immunological assays. Perform the in vitro, in vivo, and ex vivo work related to drug screening.
  • Responsible for performing experiments, maintaining records, writing reports, and ordering materials related to the above-mentioned project.

Project Technical Support-III

  • Perform virological and molecular biology assays to test antiviral activity and cytotoxicity of drugs.
  • Data analysis and interpretation.
  • Basic knowledge of biochemical and molecular biology. Preference for cell culture and molecular biology assays experience.
