Project Details
This ICMR-funded project targets one of the most significant challenges in modern orthopedics: the regeneration of critical-sized bone defects. Titled “3D printing of bone-derived hydrogel-based vascularized scaffold with mesenchymal stem cells for enhanced osteogenesis,” the research dives into the “bio-ink” revolution. The mission is to develop a “living” scaffold that mimics the natural architecture of bone. By utilizing 3D bioprinting technology, the team aims to fabricate hydrogels derived from bone components to ensure maximum biocompatibility.
Available Research Job Positions & Requirements
PGIMER is looking for two distinct levels of expertise for this multidisciplinary team.
Project Research Scientist-I (Non-Medical) — 02 Posts
- Salary: ₹56,000 + 20% HRA per month.
- Essential Qualification: First Class PG in Biophysics, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or related Life Sciences. Alternatively, a Second Class PG with a PhD.
- Preferred Experience: Hands-on expertise in 3D printing/scaffold fabrication, cell culture, animal handling, and tissue engineering. Candidates with NET/GATE and 1–2 years of independent research experience are preferred.
Project Technical Staff-I — 01 Post
- Salary: ₹18,000 + 20% HRA per month.
- Essential Qualification: Three-year Graduate Degree in any field of Biological/Life Sciences with one year of lab experience.
- Preferred Experience: Basic molecular biology techniques, data entry, and proficiency in MS Office and statistical software.
