Job Overview:
Element Solutions is hiring a Regulatory Affairs Intern to support the European Regulatory Affairs team. This office-based life science internship focuses on handling product regulatory inquiries, supporting compliance checks, and assisting with regulatory data management. Key Responsibilities:
- Support customer and internal regulatory inquiries via shared team mailboxes
- Respond to standard regulatory questions (e.g., REACH, SVHC, PFAS, biocides, ozone-depleting substances, conflict minerals)
- Perform basic compliance checks by comparing product compositions with EU and customer substance lists
- Use internal tracking tools to log, manage, and assign tasks within the team
- Identify non-regulatory requests and forward them to the correct department or contact
- Support data quality and documentation consistency
- Escalate complex or non-standard queries to senior regulatory team members
Educational Requirements:
- Student or recent graduate in Environmental Science, Life Sciences, or a related field
- Interest in regulatory affairs, product compliance, or chemical legislation
- Very good written and spoken English
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (filters, VLOOKUP, and other similar functions)
Skills Required:
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to follow instructions and apply predefined rules consistently
- Comfortable working with repetitive and structured tasks
- Good written communication skills, especially for email responses
- Organized and able to manage multiple tasks at the same time
