Job Details:
The Project Assistant Jobs are offered under a DBT-sponsored research project titled “Sustainable Microalgae–Yeast Biorefinery for Enhanced Lutein and Lipid Production Utilizing Coal-Fired Flue Gas CO₂ Through a Waste-to-Wealth Strategy” under the BioE3 Policy for High-Performance Biomanufacturing and Carbon Capture & Utilization.
- Job Title: Project Assistant
- Number of Positions: 02 (Two)
- Project Name: “Sustainable Microalgae–Yeast Biorefinery for Enhanced Lutein and Lipid Production Utilizing Coal-Fired Flue Gas CO2 Through a Waste-to-Wealth Strategy”
- Duration of the Position: 02 Years (Initially for one year and extendable based on performance and availability of funds)
- Fellowship/Monthly Compensation: Rs.20,000/- per month (Consolidated, as per DBT/Institutional norms)
- Age Limit: Not exceeding 28 years (Relaxation as per Government of India/DBT norms)
Educational Qualifications:
- Essential: M.Sc./M.Tech. in Biotechnology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Botany, Environmental Biotechnology, or relevant Life Science discipline with minimum 55% marks or equivalent CGPA.
- Desirable: Experience in microalgae, yeast or microbial cultivation; exposure to bioprocessing, wastewater treatment, or biorefinery concepts; interest in carbon capture and sustainable biomanufacturing; good scientific writing skills.
