Job Details:
The Project Assistant will support ongoing research projects by assisting with data collection, analysis, and documentation. This role is vital for ensuring the smooth functioning of project activities and achieving project goals.
Project Assistant
- Project Title: “Developing a morphological library of selected plant-associated fungi for
field- based airborne detection”. - Period up to: 09.11.2026

- Group/ Division: Biodiversity & Paleobiology (Fungi) Group
Educational Requirements:
- Essential: B.Sc. in Life Sciences. (preferably in Botany / Biotechnology/ Microbiology or
related Subjects.) - Desirable:
- M.Sc. in Life Sciences
- Experience in fungal isolation, culturing, and preservation
- Experience in fungal taxonomy and systematics
- Knowledge of bioinformatics tools for sequence alignment and phylogenetic analysis
Monthly stipend: Rs.20000/- + HRA (As applicable)
Age limit(As on date of interview): 50 Years as of the closing date of advt. (Relaxation will be applicable for the OBC, SC, ST etc. categories according to Govt of India regulations.)
Note: No T.A. is admissible for interviews and selected candidates will have no right for appointment against any ARI or funding agency’s post/s.
